I actually do like pea purée, slaphead. I just added that self-deprecating kicker to leaven the desolation of the rest of the post. It was the rhetorical equivalent of an irritatingly whimsical, Jean-Jacques Lequeu designed architectural folly plonked in the midst of a landscape of infinite barren tundra, if you will.
