Pretty boring game that aside from the 4 minutes of madness where Didzy and Crowley turned it on. Still look a bit disjointed in the middle but the box midfield was an improvement on whatever we’ve been attempting recently.

Big Matty Platt as well #pocketed #AndycantCook #FelizMattyPlatt #AdenBaldlose

I appreciate you’ve got a few out too, but it doesn’t compare to us, we’re absolutely on our knees at the moment… I mean look at the crocked lot up in the stand today:

View attachment 21195

You absolutely deserved a point today following our first 15/20 mins of domination, but you were always going to come back into it because the quality on our current bench is nowhere near what they’re coming on for. Huge credit to those lads who came on and helped us see it out though!
Maybe but we are missing 5 of our first 11.

Needed a win and got one with Maynard finally doing what everyone has said he should for weeks and playing people in their natural positions.

Game was dead after that four minute burst really, second half was like watching us play ourselves with Bradford having all of the play and possession but us the only real clear chances.

That was a big win there today. Hanging on a bit second half, I think because the lads were just fucking knackered. It's not going to get any easier over the busy period either, so anything we can pick up is a bonus. I thought Wimbledon looked very decent, came to play and lots of effort from them. Hit the post twice in about 1 second of play and had our keeper pull off a big save. Draw was probably fair but we absolutely take that. This group showing a lot of resilience right now, but you've got to expect something to give soon.

A bad time to turn in probably our worse performance of the season . We were bullied and Swindon did a job on us really , which they did well tbf . Need a big improvement boxing day as for the only game this season we lacked fight and desire today ; too many half arsed efforts - I don't like to single players out but Davies was dire today.

Armstrong's reaction tells you everything you need to know. Free kick was the correct decision. He barely even complains, just strolls back smiling. He knows it was the right call.

People trying to make out this is a similar situation as last week are clutching at straws. Desperate wind up attempts. Two blatant handballs and a ball way over the line, are no where near the same as a goal ruled out for a foul, which is all about opinion.

Tells me everything I need to know? But it doesn’t. I’m looking for the foul, I don’t see one.

All I see is a player laughing about this imaginary foul that you’re referencing.

Foul on Hall looking at that and Armstrong’s reaction probably suggests it’s correct in fairness. As I say one you may get a few years back.

We really got away with one today. Notts should have scored 6. Their manager got one thing wrong though. Before the game he will have been rubbing his hands and saying Bradford have 2 donkeys in midfield. They were actually cart horses. Sorry Firthy but citing Sarcevic as a star signing is no different to Peter Jackson proclaiming Branston as the Messiah.

Should be used to it in both our towns but it'll be a windy one tomorrow! Not confident either given the run of form we are on, I guess it's a case of wait and see.
Good result for your team -well done. We are certainly in a bad run at the moment and as is often the case, can't see when we might get out of it. Shocking defensive errors compounding a lack of confidence within the team. Fingers crossed Christmas might bring some joy !!

I think Walker would be a much better pick to start in midfield against Vale.

Does mean we'll have to start Doyle in net...

I don’t think you were that bad to be honest, we were the better team and deserved the win but it wasn’t a 3-0 let alone any more than that. Just that little burst killed the game, our first looked offside to me but the other two were really nicely worked to be fair.

I thought if anything you were a bit slow with the positions you got into. Cook was absolutely awful but he clearly isn’t like that regularly with his goalscoring record.

Spread out those half dozen Notts great chances for Jatta X3, McGoldrick X2 and Austin and it was definitely a 3-0 game. I don't think Bratfud had as good a chance as any of those 6 all game.

Lost 3-0 to Notts. Should have been about six or seven. Alexander out. Won't be going to the home games against Vale or Chesterfield. Hope we lose both to force change.
You're not that bad, we're not that good. Bit of a freak result with a mad five minutes.
George Abbott though is destined for far greater things than L2.

Agreed. Well worth the journey today. Electric for 20 mins and then dogged for the rest of the game. All of them dead on their feet at FT.
Suspect injuries will bite us in the arse soon due to the lads who are available running out of steam.

Sounds like you are in a similar rut to what we were in ahead of today, with injuries. We've got all of our key players back now apart from Canavan who we've lost again for a while with a torn groin.

We were looking over our shoulders quite a bit ahead of today but if anyone in that 13th to 18th range can put a run of a few results together they can potentially take themselves out of proceedings at the bottom for good.

That's the nub of it. Wing backs on their correct side, Crowley behind the strikers, McGoldrick not so deep. Pretty basic stuff that Maynard has been getting wrong for months.

Not sure it was a freak result. Walker kept the score down. If you had scored five or six I think it would have been a fair reflection.

We can't create. Keep Cook quiet and we don't have anything outside of Pointon. Just loads of cloggers with very limited ability. No pace. No creativity. Nothing.
