Another humiliation yesterday, lucky it wasn’t 6. It stems from our midfield who were ran rings around. Sarcevic and Smallwood are washed as professionals tbh. I thought the best we’ve looked this season is when neither have played. Sarcevic has been one of the most disappointing signings in years so far, with the fan fair he came with. Tbh I said earlier in the season when some of our fans were moaning about injuries, we looked better when certain players got injured and he’s a prime culprit. Sooner we can give Evans and Pattison a run for them two statues the better.

We got promoted, kept the best player in the division for another season and got to the FA Cup Quarter Finals. Glad to see you lot got a hashtag though.
The commentary just became a bit of a meme for us following that. Nothing to do with Grimsby, the goal, situation or anything like that, it's just funny. Legend that guy.

Ohhhh I didn't listen to that with sound on when ODL shared it. Makes more sense now.

Yep is a bit of a classic John Moore response for when we concede having been under the cosh. Trawl through his back catalogue and you'll hear it time and time again.

Love it. One thing this whole Sky+ most games televised thing really robs us of is local commentators who add colour and that will be a crying shame.

Sarcethick should be behind Evans, Walker and Pattison in the pecking order.

I watch all ours on MarinersTV with a VPN so I still get local comms but John Moore (the yep guy) is exclusively for the bars at BP unfortunately.

Looks like Walsall are the most consistent at the moment, although I expect they will hit a sticky patch at some point. For the rest of us, it seems like a case of who will be the least shit. None of the top 10 are really covering themselves in glory at the moment.

Pretty much that, Walsall I expect will see the most disruption in January as Stoke will likely recall Lowe (really cheeses me off this loan system but thats another argument altogether as they never are season long!) and will have to replace and seem to have vultures around a couple of their better players so January is the big test for them.

Notts should improve with Jones returning but otherwise Chesterfield are either dreadful or good and not a lot inbetween, Doncaster drop silly points at home, us and Crewe must have the best combined run of few defeats without actually winning many and MK are hot and cold. Grimsby are pretty much great at hitting those top 7 spots then absolutely brick it and repeat.

We just need to limp through to January and hope Carol gets spending again.... and Ben Garrity is the magic cure.

Nice to see my Gambian Prince back on the shortlist to remind that Cook fella and every other big man how's it done.

Should have had his first hat trick in the English game.

It’s ridiculous that we’re still in the top seven and within touching distance of the top three with the run we’ve been on. We all said when Jones got injured that we’d take just being in touch when he came back and we’ve got a great chance of doing it despite two months of relegation form.

Can see us having a go in Jan. was always led to understand if we were in with a chance come Jan we would try and kick on, and like you say, feels like it is there for the taking for anyone that can string some results together

Heard any names?

Saw you mentioned Josh Stones on our forum the other day.

For me, we definitely need another striker to help Grigg & Madden (when he’s back fit) and another CB due to injuries. Obviously if we lose anyone they will need to be replaced.

I can definitely see us doing a couple of signings as soon as we can. We need the bodies.

Someone on the forum mentioned the full back at Southend but I’m not sure that’s an area of critical need.

I guarantee we've at least 100% got a plan in the eventuality of Markanday leaving, which I think is pretty certain. A new striker would be ideal, probably cut off a few of the injured knobheads out the squad to mek room

Nothing yet but I don’t push too hard. We’ve definitely taken a look at Stones and chucked our hat in the ring for Markanday but feels like too much £££

Berry probably the other one I expect to leave, a west Yorks league one outfit relatively keen amongst a couple of others

Rumour on our forum we are looking at Stones on a permanent from Wigan to replace Hackford.
