Barrow away. They did a job on us earlier last month when we were on our knees squad depth wise. Hopefully with fewer injuries and no sickness in the camp, we can give a better account of ourselves. That being said, they are a decent team and will feel confident of getting all 3 points. Got a bit of wiggle room, so a failure to win won't be the end of the world, but fingers crossed we can grab a point.

Also hope to have a couple in the door before this game.

On the back of Newport's ginormous game against Eastleigh a few days before. They'll either all be immensely deflated and knackered or desperate to avoid injury. This couldn't really come at a better time for us.

Guaranteed it's called off.

Especially after a really testing period when results haven't gone our way, the players will probably have been expecting support and encouragement from their manager, to try and encourage the best out of them...unfortunately we have Troy Deeney running the show.

I think this week we might see two games where the players down tools completely, not very professional I accept, but if we get destroyed by Mansfield and Gillingham (somewhere between possible and likely) then maybe Vince will admit that he has made a grave error by trying to do things his way and Deeney will be shown the door...as should have happened when Horseman and his entourage departed.

Crawley 5/1 against a Wimbldon team missing it's strike force? I'll chuck a tenner on that on the off chance.

Hopefully the Eastleigh bullies kick them all over the park and then we do the double over them to really rub it in. Stupid little team.

Very cold this week but warms up by Saturday.

On the one hand a postponement would let us face a rearranged fixture with stronger personnel, but Notts would probably have a new manager by then and stopped holding the door open for opposition forwards

It's a great time to play us, we haven't got Luke Williams in charge. You avoid potential new manager bounce, and don't be bonus you have Jim O'Brien in the other dugout. No brainer.

Likely to be Lucky Stockport next Saturday, as per Lucky Wrexham this past Saturday. The 7/5 looks very appealing but will wait on developments.

Arriving by coach. Hope I'm not on one of the unlucky ones that get bricked.

Horrible supporters.

Certainky don’t want to stand up for Deeney too much, however completely Dissagree with you on his outburst.

These so called players are an absolute disgrace and haven’t out any effort in for the last year and a half!

They are extremely well paid and their attitude stinks, they have downed tools from the word go and I wouldn’t be disappointed if they had their contracts ripped up apart from maybe McAllister and Stevens.

Crawley at home. A narrow win at their place a few weeks ago but some of our best players are either on international duty, injured or on a ban. Our manager finishes his touchline ban for this match.

If any Crawley supporters want to say hello, I'll request a programme selling gig in the away end. That's me in my profile pic.

Can't see any worries about it being off - we got a game on last season against Gateshead when I think it was -4 at kick-off on a Tuesday night. Probably the coldest I've ever been.

I fear that Newport will do us. Our form away from home isn't great, and they like to spoil parties. Hopefully Eastleigh will take a lot out of them, but another sell out in a tight-packed ground against a 'rival' (i'll use that term very loosely), fear we become unstuck.

Agree with the other reds, Newport are a horrible bunch. Can't wait for it to piss down when i'm behind the goal with no roof.

Hopefully the pitch at Priestfield is nice and frozen. Would be a superb week if we end up not playing either game.

8/5 to win at home. That's not happened since 2019.

I wouldn't take that bet. With Jim at wheel and the league two leaders in town we don't beat Top 7 so....

Surely it makes sense for clubs to have a pitch inspection tomorrow afternoon if they think it’s going to be off saturday.

I think we might get a new manager bounce. If he wins his first game against the league leaders it would draw a line under Luke Williams.

Straight into the firing line for Steven Maynard then, up against serial winner Challinor.

Our pitch is covered and it is positively balmy down here.

Oh well I'll have to drag myself down there then. Hopefully it's not called off at 2 or something.

Will he be taking charge officially?

Or is one morning session enough to say "Lads, have you tried defending"

Surely it’s a waste of time having a pitch inspection when it’s obviously going to be frozen at that point. It’s thawing Saturday, 5 degrees by midday. The only reason to have a pitch inspection Friday (given the forecast) is if you want the game off. If it was scheduled to stay freezing or below then fair enough, early decision for the best.
