Really surprised, reckon it’ll be fine by tomorrow 3. Not too cold overnight and today is ok - still cold but up to 4/5 degrees, sun out.

Whose bright idea was to have a pitch inspection at Bradford today, given temperatures are set to rise and it’s only 45 mins/ 1 hour away. Could have been done midday tomorrow. Is Cook injured?

What's the likelihood of it happening? Got an early train journey planned, see

I don’t think it’ll be off, we’ve got games on in colder weather and it’s (relatively) warm between now and the game. The only worry would be how long it was below freezing earlier in the week, so if it did get below what the covers can cope with and properly set in, there might not be enough time for it to thaw again.

We got in a right argument with Dover in the NL days for them calling off a game with us twice just before kick-off and have been really good with having early pitch inspections and keeping people updated since then if there’s any issues, so if there is anything you’ll know tonight or early tomorrow.

Mansfield the trendsetters as per. Fashionable

Sutton is officially arranged to Tuesday now which makes sense, waterlogged pitch incoming.

Before you do you might want to consider that Grimsby have strengthened their squad while Harrogate will be without key players due to injury.
Doesn’t matter you have one of those weird curses over us.

Pitch inspection at 830 in the morning for Notts., Probably off I’d say.

It’s been -5/6/7 overnight for 3 nights all over the UK now hasn’t it, I’ll be surprised if there’s any games on in our league.

It'll be 4c by that time, rising to 6c at kick-off, not warm enough to thaw areas that stay in shadow. Oh well, day out on the lash anyway

No that was the new ear splitting PA system. Plus we like to invest in attackers , they have a far bigger financial upside.
Well you don't spend it on managers or are they called something else at our local disfunctional neighbours

Hey buddy :bg: It's better to receive money for your manager or head coach than spend it. I wonder what proportion of the Williams and company compensation from Swansea was spent on Maynard and company at Wealdstone. I suspect a very nice profit there.

Didn't you receive compensation money for Steve Evans or did he just quit and move to a club in a higher league?

Answers on a Spanish postcard por favor.

We'll have our goalkeeping coach Dan Connor in charge tomorrow, funnily enough our home game against Gillingham five weeks ago was Deeney's first in charge. So both times we've played them we've had a manager making their debut.

I'm pretty sure it will be on. I live close to the ground and the local playing fields are thawing with it not forecast to go below 1° tonight and warm to 6° by midday.

My thinking as well, but we must think they've got a fair chance of getting it thawed working tonight not to just call it today.

It's one of those where it might well be fine by 3pm but got to balance that with being fair to your fans.

Just put the sprinklers on at 6am. The water is cold but warmer than the pitch and only needs to penetrate an inch or so and the background temperature should do enough to get the game on.

Doesn't really bother me either way tbh. I was quite interested in seeing our new players and how Gunning was/is going to setup the side. Gives him more time to prepare if nothing else.
Tactical postponement

Pushing the boat out.
#bedsheets and lamps.

Lamps didn’t help us, we even had small areas under cover with the blowers.

Really pushing the boat out with the blowers.

Field Mill's pitch is absolutely fine unless it's really cold, rains lots or the squad is fatigued.
