I see Vale have started winning again after a rocky patch, have you turned the corner?
I do think we'll be up for this one as Vale ran right over the top of us at their place earlier in the season. We'll be after a bit of payback I reckon and wanting to get some home form going.

As if we are the bookies favourites to beat AFC Wimbledon when we’re joint bottom of the form table.

That said, easy 3-0 win. Make up for the reverse.

We have I’d say yes. After the Grimsby debacle there was a massive clear the air and went back to basics, ditched the messing about at the back, dropped Ripley and add that in and many of our key men who’d been injured for weeks/months returning such as Garrity, Clarke, John, Stockley back yesterday with Harper and the signing of Jaheim Headley has boosted us with a proper left back.
Nathan Smith coming into the squad after being frozen out has helped as well as he is a pure defender, none of the fancy stuff, sticks his head where it hurts and gives us a bit more than Debrah for instance.

George Byers is set to return for next weekend, would of played yesterday had the weather allowed him to have had sufficient training so where we have had Croasdale then out of position players making up our midfield we have huge options again, Garrity is crucial to us as well so his return has boosted us.

Sold out away end as expected and we seemed to stumble on a good performance yesterday second half with the changes that we hadn’t seen since probably Swindon where we actually over ran a team.

Tough game though. We’ve picked up 5 points since the 80s in Chesterfield and since 2001 we’ve had a fair few visits! (The 5-0 was memorable)! But otherwise not a great hunting ground, we’ve the best away record in the league though and have had a few decent grind it out wins at top end sides in their own back yard such as Doncaster, MK, Notts County, Salford so should be a good game hopefully. If we can get 4 points from this and Colchester on the Tuesday I’d be delighted and you’d expect this to be the tougher of the two on paper so would probably take a draw.

We never do well at chesterfield so it's a nailed on home win. Always serve up some of our worst performances ever at there ground. Only won twice there in my life time 5 nil away in 2010 at saltergate and 2 1 away on the day of the Hillsborough disaster on 1989. So we haven't won at there new ground. We played abit better yesterday in the second half but Moore's team sections are terrible and the performance yesterday against an abysmal Newport team to give them 2 goals was shocking. If we defend like we did yesterday then this will be 3 nil home win but based on what we have done away so far this season it will probably be nil nil or 1 nil to either side. As we have such a poor record against chesterfield away from home if vale got a draw I'd be happy as we generally lose there most of the time.

Since that win at chesterfield in 1989 vales record away at chesterfield away is 1 win 3 draws 11 defeats.

I'd take a point next sat now. Can never predict these games as form goes out the window. The early kickoff is also crap

Home to Accrington. Were they still under Coleman, I'd be a little concerned. But given how they've struggled under Doolan, we've got to fancying ourselves to pick up another win. Hoping for a more controlled performance than the last 2 away games and a multi goal win would be nice too. 2-0 win.

We had a shit record at Notts and won there.

4 points needed from our next 2 and I'm really not arsed which way around they come. Should be fielding the strongest side we have been able to all season tbh. No excuses providing Stockley and Byers can start the game.

Unless they’re about to dust off prime Jack Lester or Luke Beckett the past record there is sod all to do with what will happen next weekend.

Good opponent who we managed to beat last time with some degree of comfort thanks to Garrity and Byers winning the midfield battle. That area will likely be where the game is won or lost again.

We’ve won 5 of our last 11 at Notts.

If only! Madden back from injury & we’ve signed a youngish player on loan (i think) from Luton. So hopefully we can actually score! We need Naylor in midfield to help with battle, not pissing about at the back.

Walsall 9/5 to win at Bradford? Tasty.

On a good run, everything looking up, and who have we got next? Bromley, the PTSD of the National League years.

Had some stinkers there as well but it’s a new game and a first visit in 8 years or so.

Tough one, these are a decent outfit hampered like we have by injuries a bit so have to be on it but we’ve shown we can go tough places and win a few times this season (and do have the odd stinker in us!) so see how it goes I guess!

We’ve no excuses with the players now available now not to at least be competitive and put in a performance regardless of result.

Fleetwood away.
I'm looking forward to a few pre and post match beers in Blackpool more than the game itself.
We'll pass the ball 96788 times, and threaten the Fleetwood goal twice in 90 minutes.

Bromley and Carlisle back to back at home this week. Should be 6 points if we’re serious about this automatic promotion stuff

Imagine we’ll go unchanged but do think at some point the only way you get Jones back to full fitness is by starting him rather than 20 minutes off the bench every game

Once he shows enough in training to start, he starts. It's that simple he's the second best player in the league.

Until then sub only cos he looks way off understandably.

Barrow away. Didn't realise there was a round of Tuesday night games this week.

Assume this fixture has been signed off by Parliament and the House of Lords. If not, hopefully the EFL will realise their mistake and postpone it before anyone sets off on Saturday.

Heard they are absolutely fuming at Barrow for winning at Blundell Park earlier in the season so they have revoked your Tuesday night status. Kier Starmer saying that the Tories leaving the country in such a state was the cause but Badenoch simply saying that never happened on their watch. The Grimsby Barrow Peace Treaty in absolute tatters. Only thing can possibly bring about a ceasefire is a Grimsby win.

If we're playing well and winning in not overly concerned if Jones is only peripheral. Still twenty games to go and it's hard not to believe he'll be in the starting eleven before long.
Should be looking to beat Bromley but it doesn't happen too often.

Everytime I go to Valley Parade I get horror flashbacks of Paul Downing against James Hanson in 2015/16.

My natural Walsall pessissm is making me want to predict a draw or a loss as this joy can't go on forever - but this team is just unreal and keeps on going. I'm saying a 2-1 win.

Going into this Walsall game reasonably confident, we’re in good form and home record is more than decent so if ever you’re to play the run away leaders I suppose now is that time. But ANOTHER 12:30 ko??? Supposed to be working Saturday morning so that has really ballsed up my plans, and for what? Sky Sports+? Can’t even get it working on my TV which is an even bigger kick in the nads.
Anyway, 3-2 home win in the inaugural ‘One man team that’s missing that one man derby’, Cook and Lowe forever in our thoughts (needs work on the name).
