Well we didn't sign anyone yesterday, so I'm hoping that means some of our strikers are ok. More than likely though its because we've already got 5 loans in the team and we're skint. Heard Hemmings is out for about 6 weeks. Who joins Lankester who.is out for 8 weeks. Just got to hope Bogle and Long aren't too bad, but both looked like they were struggling on Saturday and both have horrible injury records. As for Saturday vs Newport, even with a fit squad we're particularly clicking at the moment and we're not scoring enough goals. It certainly won't be pretty. Either team could nick it by a goal but I wouldn't be surprised to see a boring 0-0.

Woodman and Cheek could be cooking up a seventh place finish here.

Bromley’s keeper Grant Smith must have a few issues. Seems to go down with an injury about this point in the game, every single game…

But then miraculously makes a recovery straight after, fair play to him

Just flicked the last ten of this on, the pitch looks like a World War One battlefield. It was bad when we went there a few weeks ago but my word.

Awful isn’t it. A real throwback to the early 2000s. Neither of these sides look up to much at all.

Feel sorry for Morecambe, deserved more from that game, but just lack quality upfront. Newport rode their luck, but had enough to scrap out the win. They should have enough to stay up, Morecambe though, I'm not sure.

Donny (H).

Not sure what sort of numbers they’re bringing but anything less than a sell out would disappointing from them even if it is on a Thursday evening given that the allocation is less than 1,000. I’m sure they will though.

We had a great result at theirs earlier in the season, beating them 0-3, but they’ll be coming up against a virtually entirely different side tomorrow considering 8 of the squad that featured are now either injured or have left the club (+ Boot who is now 2nd choice behind Thompson). So it’s hard to take much from that game going into this one really…

Expect we’ll look something like this:

Thompson
Sheckleford Williams Grimes Sparkes
Naylor Oldaker
Mandeville Dobra Olakigbe
Madden

Boot (GK)
Donacien
Banks
Metcalfe
Colclough
Duffy
Pepple

Obviously that’s working off the assumption that Sparkes is fit which I think he will be. If not, could probably see Duffy moved to LB (assuming Horton has gone to Gateshead by then) and Fleck coming back into the squad.

Just shows we’ve gone from one extreme to the other now that many of our injuries have began to clear up, as squads now looking a bit bloated. No space in squad for likes of Drummond, Hobson, Akinola, Fleck, Horton, Jacobs, Daley Campbell…

Gk:
TSL
Def:
Sterry
Olowu
McGrath
Maxwell
Def Mi:
Bailey
Crew
Mid:
Molyneaux
Ennis
Kelly/Clifton/Sbarra
For:
Ironside
Just the one position that’s getting rotated really

Well we now know we’re not appealing the Sang sending off from last Saturday so my expectation is John at RWB then Heneghan into the back three. It’s a tougher fixture than was thinking it’d be at the turn of the new year but one we should really be winning if we are to entertain challenging for autos. Sounds like Ripley can play for them, not sure it happens often a players debut for his new club is against the one who just let him leave.

Amos
Smith Heneghan Hall
John Croasdale Garrity Byers Headley
Stockley Tolaj

Be harsh on their keeper when lost 1 in 10! pur Debs up front for us and he will keep passing to him!

Smith RCB though.... not so keen, half tempted to go with Debrah just so we get the best from Smudge and put Debrah RCB even though he didn't scream pick me last night.

With other teams around us playing strugglers we need to get something here even if just a scrappy point but hopefully Byers can start and we can put in a big performance to build on the last few games.

To be clear I’d rather start with 10 men than see Debrah anywhere near that teamsheet. It’s not as though we’re short of practise doing it now.

Heneghan can at least compete with Harry Smith and frankly there isn’t much difference in Debrah and Smith on the ball.
