I say this every week, but you have to see us to believe how bad we are.

Grimsby fans had the pleasure of seeing it today.

There is nothing in this team that can turn our fortunes and keep us up.

Just a bunch of over paid losers stealing a living.

I absolutely hate these players.

Absolutely battered Carlisle there, could’ve been 6 or 7. Certainties for the drop IMO
HT 0-1
We should have had a penalty when your keeper fouled Hugill.
2nd half Harris hits the post.
Could have been 0-3, it finished 2-1.
To say you were six or seven goals better than us is utter tosh.
Still only 5 points from safety, of course it's still possible to stay up.

Really poor first half, epitomised a game between two teams on a rotten run of form since September, I believe in the reverse fixture we went into it 1st and Gills 2nd.

Second half we absolutely dominated and ran out deserved winners. Gills were rotten, expected more fight from them especially under Coleman. Once Hutton was brought on I knew we had the game won.

Not a terrible set of results considering the teams around us all had teams in the lower end of the end, expected all to win so Crewe losing (stunned at that after seeing Newport a couple of weeks back) and AFCW dropping points is a bonus. Huge game Thursday now for us.

Stick a fork in us, we're done. With even 1 striker fit today, we probably score 1 or 2. But they're all out for at least the next few weeks. We aren't recovering from this, we'll be cut adrift of the top 7 by the time we get any semblence of attacking quality back.

Fair play to Newport, they were incredibly clinical, we were never scoring today. Management's questionable squad building, the lack of academy players in the team and a bottom half budget all playing a part in what's likely to be a mid-table finish. Oh well, it was nice whilst it lasted.

They did batter us. We did have our moments yeah, but they were few and far between in amongst wave after wave of Grimsby attacks and chances. We were as poor with the ball today as we have been in a long time.

2-1 certainly flatters us.

Another defeat, now 6 defeats in 7. It’s possible for a normal team to close a 5 point gap, but not for this shower of shit. The head coach change needed to come in December. Its too late, its February and we’re stuck with a squad that’s no where near good enough to stay up.

Absolute garbage threw that away today shit defending again for both goals we look like the team from last season in recent weeks and it's not pretty.
I can see us blowing this we look shot to pieces at the moment.

What's the reasoning for the slump?

Is it psychological after winning so many in a row? Truth be told you looked poor against us and it was difficult to see how you'd won so many but clearly you had something before that game.

Carlisle were not the worse side but hit us on one of our 50% of the time good days should have been 4 or 5 -2 probably although there was a decision/chance that would /could have put Carlisle 2-0 up but the ref was dire like normal and didnt see what is now classed as a hand ball and gave our penalty which to me looked soft . They are getting bottom of the league luck . We will be a force next season i reckon assuming we don't go up and that will/should be the time to judge Artell and these players on his 'artform ' on what will hopefully be a better home playing surface as this season it's going from bad to mud/sand .

I don't mind our position right now, obviously wish we were higher, but going largely unnoticed, disregarded. We were good for the most part today, very good. It was a 4 or 5 - 1 performance overall, made an in form Swindon look very poor. 3 mistakes cost us. They don't happen most weeks. Saw enough from Byers last 20 to see he could be crucial if he stays fit. Very confident now.
I thought until their penalty we looked very good, played some lovely attacking football and Stockley forced a good save and a poor cut back when in a great position was frustrating, then Harper going clean through, not having the pace but two options to slide it on a plate either side and took neither.

Penalty was sloppy from Smudge, just needed to stand him up. After that we seemed rocky for ten minutes and it got hectic, but a good move for Headley to score, Garrity misses a sitter but a minute later Tolaj scores and at that point I expected us to go on and win it comfortably.

Headley was terrible for their equaliser, especially at that time of the game just boot it and reset. Amos should still stop the strike though which was right at him.

Just needed to keep going as we had and we win it though but second half was just messy, very hectic in midfield and neither side did much until their lad hits one from 30 yards, very sloppy from us I felt but Byers changed that when he came on and allowed us to get some quality and calm on the ball. Deserved the equaliser which was messy in going with the game and how Hall hasn’t won it we will never know.

We aren’t usually that sloppy at the back and as you said probably should be winning that 4 or 5-1 with better decisions, had 4 clear cut to their 0 and does feel two points dropped.

Good game for the neutral though but very chaotic. Byers has to start Thursday. As you say a top three side dispatches that Swindon performance today comfortably and despite the good form we are in I just wonder if we are a season short of being top 3 material, huge turnaround since the start of the season and not getting the luck you sometimes need with injuries.

If we don't win the Mid-Table Trophy then there will be riots in Cheltenham.

We're so middling, it's actually painful to watch sometimes.

As horrible as it sounds the problem for Carlisle today was needing better game management.

They did the hard part went in 1-0 up at half time. Second half needs to be full of every dirty trick it the book, constant fouls, time wasting, getting stuck in, hack their best player take a yellow then get another player to hack that same player again etc etc

That weak underbelly and lack of belief of being able at all to keep a clean sheet costs again.

Grimsby don’t usually come back in games so it does suggest if we could have played the game right we could have won but we didn’t, don’t blame hughes on it today will have been more a see what he has game next week will be more interesting

Our let down will be the fact that we didn't pick maximum points up against Carlisle, Cheltenham, Tranmere at home. 6 points that other teams around us will likely get. It puts pressure on getting maximum points against the teams around us.

As you say, I don't think we're quite there but our run in looks reasonably favourable so always a chance of sneaking 3rd.

Nice Saturday with everyone except Bradford dropping points.

We were struggling until that shit keeper Schofield handed our new kid one on a plate. Morecambe didn’t look a bottom 2 team to me but that’s where they are, so it’s hard to be getting too confident until we go to somewhere like Vale and get a result.

You’ve got to be happy as a Notts fan atm though.

The only positive from our 0-1 loss to Bromley was the new goalkeeper, Trueman, who basically stopped us losing by 2 or 3, including a penalty save.

I can only deduce that Scott Lindsey is a fraud. Aside from winning 6 games in a row when he first arrived (which if we hadn’t we’d be in the relegation scrap now), we have been pretty shite and that’s despite having a promotion chasing squad on paper. Can’t see him lasting until the end of the season at this rate, one win in seven and now down to 14th. Might as well make the season interesting and enter the relegation scrap cos fuck me we’re terrible to watch and going nowhere.

How we are only 10 points off the play-offs with a game in hand is ridiculous.

Take your pick, bit of everything.

Lowe going back.
Young squad have dropped their heads and lost their consistency, momentum now against it.
Team is nervous, unsure.
Teams have figured us out tactically. Counter quick in behind our back 3 and wing backs to hurt us. Double up on our wing backs to stifle us. Let us have the ball.
Form for 7,8 or 9/10 players every week are now 4,5,6/10's.
Playing some in form teams away from home.
Sadler making bizarre substitutions and selections.

Notts are going to overtake Walsall aren't they? Just so consistent in picking up wins and look stronger than most. They'll go up as Champions. They were pretty awful when we played them earlier in the season, but their side is settled and strong in most areas. They'll beat us on Thursday I think.

Walsall, as we thought, are dropping off a cliff form wise. They're still in a great position obviously but I just think Notts will better their results. Surprisingly poor result for Wimbledon today...Accy were dreadful last week. Bradford keep picking up wins...it seems they've finally got a settled side and are just doing enough. Crewe, as I thought, are dropping off. They look a pretty decent side but short in depth and it's starting to show.

For me, we're playing for 3rd place/playoffs. We looked much better than Swindon first half, a really good team, so to come in at 2-2 was pretty poor really. We have these lapses in concentration that the auto sides don't have. If you're scoring 3 away from home, you should be winning the game. One big positive was Byers coming on, who ran the show and looked like the player that we're paying a lot of money to. He has to start on Thursday and we have to pray that Stockley is fit. As I said before the game, him and Tolaj as a pair are very hard to stop..Tolaj is on fire at the moment.

True, but surely they weren't that much of a one man team?

We've lost Cook and improved results wise since.

Definitely a huge factor but Lowe didn't keep us from conceding at least 2 a game.
Yep I couldn't believe how many you had conceded when I looked earlier. We have only let in 20 so clearly we don't score enough

We didn't play well at Accrington but we never do against them. It wasn't really a surprise to me . In saying that it's never easy to win any game away from home. It's still 8 unbeaten . We move on to Crewe at home on Tuesday then Salford at home next Saturday. It's probably a good time to be playing Crewe .

This was a really good all round performance from Fleetwood. Lots of energy from the kick off, Bonds on song with good back up from Matty Virtue. Cheltenham aren't a bad side but this was a cracking win today and keeps alive those distant play off places. Off course it will all come crashing down again as we play a team at the bottom (Tranmere ) on Tuesday and succomb to a miserable loss

We've been stingy defensively all season and a while back you demanded clean sheets and Part Time Stu has delivered and more.

If we can finally break our hoodoo against top sides we will get Top 3 however if it continues it will be the playoffs.

Jones going off today is a worry. Jatta missing key games cos he's that damn good is a concern.

lmao no - we had about 600 shots today and if our attackers didn't keep shooting straight at your keeper it'd have been a cricket score:

It’s bemusing reading Carlisle fans reviews on the game today, we had 26 shots to their 6, 11 on target versus 3 yet you’d think on their observations that we got lucky.

We absolutely dominated them from 25 mins onwards and should’ve been out of sight before the pen. It was a completely deserved win.

Seems like the Crawley effect hasn't happened with you and it's a costly assembled squad

Deserved but hard fought win. Hope Morecambe go down because they were dirty fuckers today. They purposely set up to kick us off the park and the most atrocious ref we've had in years let them.
The refs first job is to keep the players safe and he failed at that today. Jones kicked off the pitch after the fourth hack at him after around 20 mins, Gordon scythed down in a tackle that was a red all day every day and the bloke gets a yellow.
I very very rarely comment on officials, they're up against it, footballers cheat all the time but today was too bad to be true.
Unbelievably we went in at half time with two yellows, one for a coach against their one. Unbelievably inept reffing.
Whittaker looks an upgrade on Crowley, Jatta was strong as a bull for our second.
Tough game on Thursday, I'd take a point now.
I think Morecambe will stay up, they're robust and I think will do just enough.
