Scuffed finish but on the balance of the whole match Wales deserve that.

Slovakia were dominant for a 15 minute spell after their equaliser but Coleman's subs stemmed the onslaught and that's a great riposte by the Welsh. Robson-Kanu worked so hard for the side during qualification so nice to see him score.

Ramsey dwelled on that one, should have had a pop.

And thats the 3rd horrible challenge from Skrtel. How that bloke is still on the pitch is a mystery.

Excellent result for Wales. The game could have gone either way, but with how qualifying works that puts them in a strong position to get out of the groups.

Slovakia really missed Hamsik today....

Tell you what, Gareth Bale is what every aspiring footballer should want to be like. Top quality player and despite the fact he's best player in that Welsh squad by a long distance, there isn't a hint of an ego on him. He's willing to put a shift in and do the dirty work.

Well done Wales, fully deserved that win. Coleman got it spot on tactically, they got a bit of luck and Slovakia were poor, but just when Wales were starting to flag, he made the timely changes and turned the game back in his teams favour. Regardless of what England do tonight, this Wales team will take some beating. Don't see any reason why they can't get out of the group.

Pleased for Wales. I don't think they played particularly well but deserved the win on balance.

Credit to Wales - came under pressure and lost the lead but merited the win.

Wales winning doesn't neccesarily mean Slovakia were poor. The Welsh played in a way that nullified Slovakia for large parts of the game and were unfortunate to be playing 11 men for the whole game really.

I think Wales deserved it, even when Slovakia were on top Wales still looked dangerous. Looked better with and without the ball on the whole. What a clearance by Ben Davies at the start though, would've been interesting if that went in.

The highlight was Ashley Williams pretending to be Welsh by humming along to the national anthem.

Great result for Wales and well deserved in my opinion, puts them in a strong position at this early stage. How Skrtel stayed on the pitch is a mystery, dirty twat.

Currently on my way back from Bordeaux via Paris. What a result. My biggest fear coming into the tournament was that we'd lose every game. But we only bloody won. So pleased that it was Robson-Kanu, love that guy, runs his socks off for Wales. That celebration when Bale scored #togetherstronger. I still have goosebumps from the national anthem. Joe Allen was immense. Skertal is a prick.
One couldn't move around Bordeaux without bumping into a Welsh person

I thought Wales were excellent. Really hard-working and no shortage of quality either. Jonny Williams was great, and my Welsh, non-football supporting Long-term Live-in Partner correctly identified Chris Gunter as Wales's main man. Ramsey was doing his thing where he tries too hard and forgets to do the simple things. I think he probably finds it a bit hard to play in Bale's shadow. He needs to just get his head down against England and use his considerable experience. Did well in creating the winner, though.

Gunter and Jonny Williams were both excellent going forward I thought. I expected Weiss to be a bit more trouble than he was and peg Gunter back, but he was useless. We didn't look like much of a one man team yesterday.

How the hell does skrtel get away with everything he does, for country as well as club it seems. Does he have incriminating photos of every football offical in Europe or something. Or are officals just intimidated by him?

A very frustrating game to watch for Slovakia. Hamsik nearly scored the goal of the tournament but that was the high point, about 5 minutes in. I think the keeper should have done a lot better with the Bale free-kick, and the winner was also a bit scrappy - possibly a point would have been fair, but it was so uninspiring. They do lack even an average International quality striker but the midfield is good and they didn't do enough. Hamsik came close, Bale scored. Nemec hit the post, Robson-Kanu scuffed it in. Those were the margins.

Even getting third place now is going to be tough, the Russia game is make or break.

Final word for Robbie Savage. I watched the game with four Slovaks and was absolutely embarrassed by the BBC coverage. At one point Ramsey pulled the shirt off someone's back then tackled them, his punditry was the if the referee ignores the shirt pull he has no reason to give a free kick. I had to mute it after that.
