Isn't that Chansiri's problem then? I just find the whole argument tedious, especially when it has nothing to do with fans.

'even if you tell me our support is shite' - do you think I'm eleven? I don't judge anybody's support on the collective. I guarantee there will be hundreds of Bristol City fans that do more miles and go a lot further for their club than I do mine this season, even if Derby do have the overall better away attendance. What sort of halfwhit would I be to then brag about that?

This season, I'll go to the games I can make and want to go to. I imagine the same will go for a lot of people. If some Bristol City fans don't want to go to Wednesday because of the price then that's fine, I just don't see why there has to be a big song and dance about it.
the "big song and dance" as far as im concerned is that more and more people are getting priced out of football every season, and unless people kick up a fuss these prices will continue to rise year on year

Not sure why you've taken that so personally. It wasn't an attack at you, simply stating the fact that, even if you didn't think we would take 2500 then revenues would still be higher if we'd sold 2000.

Anyway, it's getting to a point where people are now unable to afford to go to a game in the Championship. That should never be the case. That's why there's a big song and dance about it, it's wrong.

The price that fans have to pay for tickets has nothing to do with the fans?

I mean the arguing between fans over ticket prices is tedious as it's nothing they can do to affect it.

I also don't buy into the fact that people struggle to pay £40 for a matchday ticket. I don't like prying into peoples' financial situation, but even on minimum wage that's not exactly difficult unless you're in a shit load of debt and living well beyond your means already.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love £20 match day tickets. I would also like £0.40p on a litre of diesel, £10 train tickets to London and back, £50 around the world flights...etc even more ideal if they all cost nothing.

I may be alone but I really don't see an issue, if the price goes too high people will stop going and then the price will drop again. The reason it is so high is because people still keep buying tickets. Last season at Norwich, I know a number of fans that didn't go, and it was the only game of the season they didn't go to, but I still went as did 1500 others.

Does the fact that the price is actually only £32.50 not fuck up the entire thread?

Will Wednesday fans be boycotting Ipswich on the grounds that the Suffolk bastards don't rate them big enough for a Grade A match?

Do you want to edit this post or delete it? Or at least do some research into the prices before posting.

Well that's exactly the problem. Whilst people keep going nothing will change, the prices will continue to go up and up. Hence the issue. Do you seriously think £40 is a reasonable price for Championship football?

As for the 2nd paragraph, just beggars belief. Throw in transport, drinks etc. that's the best part of 100 quid for an away day. Can you really not see how, in the current climate, that might be a bit much for some people? If not then lucky for you I guess, not everybody is as fortunate.

1500 out of the 2062 are 32.50

You then have the few lower tier seats which are cheaper so there a very few tickets at 37.50.

Just feel grateful it's not Grade A

especially when you simplify it down to watching 20 men run around kicking a ball while 2 try and stop it going into a big net for 90 minutes.

the bit about transport etc is key as well, for me to have gone to wednesday it was £70 on the train at the cheapest when i looked on the day the fixtures came out, even with a student rail card, so with a ticket that is £110 then factor in food and drink for the entire day as I would be out from 8am until midnight just to get there and back with minimal time doing anything else, would be hitting £120 as a minimum

I'm going to Ipswich, it's 43 quid without a railcard cos I split it up, maybe a bit of forethought and knowledge would make it cheaper.

Bristol to Cheltenham, Cheltenham to Brum, Brum to Derby, Derby to Sheffield all as seperate returns with a railcard, stay on same train, cheaper than 73 quid.

In fact just done a quick Bristol to Brum Brum to Sheffield and it's under 50 sheets.

Yeah and I'm the one who said that, somehow Herts has misquoted SERNWA as saying it

I did that for Burnley a few years back, lost all my tickets in Brum station on the way up...

I don't have any recommendations, sorry; don't think any of the Ipswich fans on here actually live in Ipswich. It's a short walk into the town centre so I'm sure there'll be plenty of options.

Not train tickets this time, but for PNE away last season, drove to Brum, and got the train up from there. On the way back, I only went and left my bag on there, which had my ST, my wallet (all cards and £80 in) and my City hoodie.

Fair to say I never seen that one again.
