Sutton look the weakest from playing them all recently glad Tomlin was out they would have kicked the shite out of him.
I wasn’t expecting that from Sutton, that was some kind of anti-football. You don’t see that style of play often these days. We joined in a little with them during the first half in the swirling wind. Terrible game of football in the first half really.
I can’t deny It was a dreadful performance from us today.

I'd love to get them in the play offs as they looked poor against us. We took 4 points off them in the league and knocked them out the FA Cup.
Over 2 legs I'd expect us to beat them too. They're technically not great but obviously have a good bond and play to their strengths. Fair play to them, but it surely can't get them promoted playing that way....can it??

That's true. Do they have the time outs like Stevenage had? What an anti football team they were.
Don’t recall, I remember we had the pleasure of Stevenage in the cup the year before they made the EFL, Tommy Fraser made the point they were “cocky from the top down”.

They’ve caused a few rants against us, Pope saying he would retire if they were the only club who offered him a deal…

They’ve been ok the last couple of visits and seemed to have changed their style but ironically that’s then clashed with them being less competitive.

Wouldn’t you if you’d spent 90 minutes getting abused? I know I would. The obsession is unhealthy.
TBF he’s done well for you over the years but an absolute disaster for us. Surely, moody fuck who let us down badly last season. Gave up on at least 1 possibly 2 occasions. Blamed EVERYONE but himself. Said the abuse didn’t bother him but it obviously did. On your way dinosaur

Yep
Absolutely selatic anybody would think Sheridan ruined a well run club when he was in charge at Swindon they had a madcap chairman and Sheridan lost both his parents in quick succession they lost Doyle and Yates from the team that went up I’ve always preferred Oxford if I’m honest
You have heard of punctuation?

Suttons style of football is derived from the Stone Age.
If you think its bad now,you should have seen them in the NL.
They took gamesmanship to a new level.
But hey ho,it works for them.

0-0 was a fair reflection, we played a lot better than we have done for a long while and actually looked like we had a plan.

We had some chances in the first half and at the start of the second, but the game quickly descended into a predictable 0-0, first away clean sheet for us in 5 months.

Defended a lot better than recently - but nearly got punished by Omar Bogle.

A step in the right direction for us. I have also made the last train back.
Jeez if that was the best performance for months things must be bad. I thought you were awful but we were certainly no better on the day. Too many tired legs, season going nowhere for us. Thought you'd be good for at least a point. I'm sure you'll stay up. Not quite as bad as Scunny, Oldham and Stevenage are.

Massive 3 points yesterday. Watching Oldham was reminiscent of watching us under Sheridan last season, zero redeeming features. They defended pretty well and will be gutted to lose so late on. Ideal time for a perfect free kick delivery and it was scripted for Dion Conroy to have scored it. Obviously lots of rumours about times under Sheridan but apparently Conroy was very badly treated and his celebration seemed to back that up reading between the lines.

Glad to have that circus done. Great to get a win in front of a big crowd. I read that Sheridan didn't care about getting abuse but still saw fit to give the middle finger to the crowd. Doubt we'll see him manage a team at the County Ground again somehow.

We've not won for 15 games - when we fail to win Tuesday it will be a new club record in terms of games without a win, so yes we have been terrible for a long time!

He apparently gave the middle finger to someone who said something about his dead parents… Seen some awful stuff posted on social media too.

That Sheridan has made us competitive given our squad is something in itself. The lack of quality is nothing to do with him and everything to do with the owners as I’m sure you know.

If it’s true about someone mentioning his dead parents, then he’s been pretty restrained just giving them the middle finger.

I find that hard to believe. The kind of fans that sit behind the dugout are the tartan blanket and thermos brigade. I doubt he could hear one single comment amongst the ongoing din from the last minute winner. Probably getting his excuses in early just in case something comes of his gesture.

It’s fair enough to me if he flipped the bird.

If that's true then of course it's completely out of order. It's a shame that some people have to cross a line and they should be rightly condemned. We do have some moronic fans, some even booed Hallam Hope yesterday when he was subbed which was crazy given he was part of our promotion winning squad and was then released, quite why he should have been booed is questionable.

I actually think in Keillor-Dunn, Adams, Hope and Bahamboula they are definitely better than a relegation threatened side if used properly. Can't disagree that Sheridan has done a solid job with Oldham, I really hope you stay up as I think Oldham is a superb football club.

We do have a few players who are at least good enough for a team fighting relegation but unfortunately the balance of recruitment was all wrong in summer.

We didn’t have a single senior centre forward until Jan. Shez then brought in Fondop who, 75 minutes and two goals later, is now out for the season. We’re now back to square one and unable to hold the ball high up the pitch so the defence and midfield is over-worked. Be very tough for us now with our run-in.

Northampton are shit!

A proper long ball team, it's ridiculous how that dull shit supported club are as high as 2nd.

I was part of the 8,000+ library crowd yesterday and I can't understand how we're still in second place following our results and perfomances, since the New Year's Day 'massacre' at Swindon?
Doesn't anyone else want to go up automatically?

It's because this league is shit and if we had had Paul Simpson in charge from the beginning we'd have been crushing it.

What were the two young lads pitch invading at Carlisle on Saturday about?
One had something written on his bare chest, was it an 'arranged' protest?
