1pm KO in our game against Wednesday. As the table has settled down, we continually seem to be playing sides in the top 10 and October looked a difficult month from the moment the fixtures came out.

We seem a bit less naive and soft this season so hoping we don't have the repeat of the game in March.

got another game Tuesday so don’t want to get too far in advance but should be a decent game at Cambridge, both sides will feel this is one to pick points up in after a rough run of fixtures.

They’ve done remarkably well, bit of an unexpected promotion but Hoolahan was a cheat code, decent manager and a good example to follow on our first season back as most expected them to fall straight back down last season.

We don’t have the best record there but hopefully going there with Ellis and Wilson looking like they are forming a very good partnership we a give it a good go.

I’d go more solid than yesterday, looks like Jones tweaked a hamstring so Hall for his height after our poor defending gifted FGR a 2-0 lead and probably Walker or Pett for Dennis away from home to give us more control in the middle, despite their terrible form it’ll be tough and we will need to be better than yesterday to get a result.

Bristol Rovers have picked up recently, 3 wins on the trot, although all 3 sides they beat are now below them in the table.

Won’t be an easy game, small, tight stadium with what will be a good atmosphere. Expecting a firey game.

Hopefully our quality can show and we can get the 3 points but it’s always been a tough game at the Mem regardless of Rovers league position, we haven’t actually won there since 2011.

New manager bounce hopefully, though the defensive injury situation needs to resolve itself this week, otherwise 3-1 on Fleetwood looks good value.
Also have a Jokepot game in midweek where we will no doubt pick up more injuries....

Looking forward to this, first time will have gone to the Abbey Stadium personally so it’s one to cross off even if as you say we seem to mostly lose there.

Just on the team I think you touched on it the biggest question mark right now is the midfield combination with Funso out for a while. Personally I’m of the mindset that it’s time to give Tommy McDermott or Harry Charsley a go there as none of the others have stepped up enough. Also wouldn’t mind us bringing Sammy Robinson into contention.

If you need any advice on where to drink/trains/parking etc, just shout.

We’ve been on a poor run against mostly top 8 teams and really need a win to just snap out of it. Confidence is really shot and I’ll take a win however it comes at the moment.

It sounds like Mitov might be injured and our second choice keeper is also out which should be fun for us to try to cover. Also possibly Jones out at centre back, he’s been our best defender this season. We also have both our left backs out at the moment which means Brophy has been playing there and I prefer him much further forward.

As I said, we really need a win. A draw wouldn’t be welcomed by the home fans tbh.

All the sides you are have beaten are below you in the table too :bg: Should be a good test for our improving team and they usually have a bit of needle in them

Portsmouth won’t fancy their chances after watching us demolish Bolton a couple of games ago and then be very unlucky not to win at Vale after playing like prime Barcelona for 80 minutes.

Yeah, Pompey are going to struggle in the cauldron (veggie sausage) that is The New Lawn. Easy three points and start our title run. Nurse, the screens.

Charlton tonight. Might have Joe Rafferty and Tom Lowery back from injury, both of whom give us better balance. Rafferty's return means that Ogilvie can go back to his best position at left back. Lowery is probably a better midfield complement to Pack than Morrell.

We have a mixed record in front of the Sky cameras and we lost the televised game at Fratton earlier in the year. The players should hopefully by champing at the bit after a nine day wait since the disappointing draw with Fleetwood. If we win our games in hand we'd be second, but I'd much rather be in Ipswich and Wednesday's place with points on the board.

Was going to say Charlton have looked really lethargic so far but then they go and score off a set piece through Inniss.

The 1st goal has clearly given Charlton confidence they are swaming all over Pompey now

This lad Rak-Sakyi looks a real player for Charlton. Very skilful. Portsmouth’s forwards look a little too isolated for me as the half has gone on.

That’s where he ended up. Loved him at the Vale!

Since the first goal, Charlton have looked superb. By far the better side.

Wasn’t it him who ended up doing time at one point? Certainly looked a very promising player when we had him on loan.

Pompey have been poor, although should of had a penalty at 1-0. Got a centre back playing left back and a left back playing right back to be fair to them.

Rak-Sakyi is very dangerous, if he can add more of an end product to his game he’ll be some player. Only a kid so plenty of time to improve. Ripped us apart on his debut for Charlton.

Can’t see Pompey getting back into this, both sides playing a 4-4-2 but Charlton have much more pace going forwards, which I expect will come into play more and more as Pompey chase the goals second half.

Definitely was but the striker was offside which maybe the ref knew and played on?

Can that happen ..

Pundits at half time suggested that the linesman may have let the ref know that via the comms

I get the feeling if Portsmouth can get the next goal then they will go and get something out of this. Garner is a bit of a one trick pony as a manager from what have seen of him and if Portsmouth do make some adjustments he won’t respond to them.

That’s killed it off. That was as bad as some of our set piece defending against FGR at the weekend.

Was great against us as well but he doesn’t seem to pass at the moment. So greedy… Seems to want to do everything himself. When he learns to pass he’ll be an unbelievable player.

Quite surprised how bad Pompey have been here. Charlton have looked ok and have worked hard but Pompey look so far off it. They just haven’t turned up.

I suppose all teams have games like this even the best ones. Seems they’ve just not been able to do anything right tonight. It happens, just got to get out of there without any further damage to the GD and put it right next time.
