We've been better away from home recently but I can't see anything other than defeat here.

I think 12 more points from 7 games will guarantee a top three spot, and some City fans don't even think we will need that many. I am hoping the Carlisle mini resurgence of the last few games is over. Expecting a tough game. Always liked going there even though it's was a trek. This run in is making me massively homesick

I'm in two minds about FGR v Mansfield. On the one hand I'd like a little more breathing space between us and one of the teams behind us, on the other I've still got a sneaky eye on the title. Ultimately a draw would be ideal, but failing that I think I'd rather be secure in the top 3 than risk it all going for 1st, so FGR to win preferably.

Yeah, I'd say 4 wins to be sure, but less than that will probably do it.

Yeah it's a dilemma isn't it?, but very opportune for us that they have to play each other twice. For me the Title is probably out of reach so a draw would be good, but whatever happens it will be good for us, and same will go when they play on (I think) the last day

I think tuesday is a bit of a free hit for us.

we’re away at scunthorpe saturday and would be looking for a win, and the other game in hand is at home to stevenage.

At one stage we’d played 6 more games than away, and we’ve recently gone on a run of 5 consecutive away games, to be where we are is a cracking effort.

Even then the last 2 home games have been exeter and northampton, which were both home wins.

It's not really a free hit a defeat would just keep us in the chasing pack ,whereas a win or even a draw would give us a slight advantage over the others ,but we still have to keep winning ,in effect yesterday was crucial for us as most of the others also won but I can still see us in the autos in a few weeks

Yeah I think I'm cheering for FGR on Tuesday and Mansfield on the last day when we're hopefully secure in the autos...

Of course. i don’t mean that a defeat should be acceptable or we just go meh if we lose, but for once we’re playing a game where the onus isn’t on us.

A win would be magical,

Christ, we really stick out like a sore thumb in the bottom half. I guess climbing above Hartlepool and Crawley to snatch a top half finish is the only target remaining for us. Still haven’t won a game by fewer than 2 goals all season; we’re just so maddeningly inconsistent.

Sutton a horrible place to go, literally and figuratively. They can’t cope with our big pitch but we’ve struggled on their 5-a-side-sized playing surface before. At least it’s not a trampoline this time. 1-1.

We really need to better Stevenage's result here.

Mansfield (and Bristol Rovers) obviously the most challenging and risky games we have to face. Think I'd be happy with four, or three, points from the two games against the Stags. A bit pessimistic about our chances on Tuesday to be honest, we're still not firing fully on all cylinders ....

I think FGR will probably get 1 poing, maybe 2 from those 2 games. With our guaranteed win against Carlisle we could be just 2 points behind them and level on games played, whilst they still have Tranmere & Mansfield to play.

We really are going to win the title.

What an embarrassing collapse by the Vegans.

Mental how some exeter fans on here want FGR to win as if they're in any way going to overtake us. The only result here any actual City fan wants is a 5-0 Mansfield win. A draw wouldn't be the end of the world but the eyes are only on the title, nobody is catching us, its whether we can catch the only team above us - which we can and will.

Come on you Stags.

After yesterdays heartbreak it’s back to reality with a game against fellow ex-National League team Leyton Orient. Orient look to have a new manager bounce as they settle in to their traditional mid table spot in the 4th tier. For Sutton the hope is that we can avoid a hangover from yesterday, which isn’t something I’m overly optimistic about. Hopefully my natural pessimism is misplaced

Two more massive games starting with Sal£ord tomorrow.

Sell out away end for this which is decent after we sold it out for the original fixture and had it called off an hour before kick off!

Tricky one this, Vale 1 loss in 16 and 5 wins and a draw in 6 against a Salford side on 4 wins on the bounce so should be a good battle this one, they were garbage at Vale Park and mugged us 1-0 (ironically the 16 game run began after this game).

A win here would be absolutely massive not only in our automatic hopes but consolidating a good gap on 8th place.

Highly likely no Oates tomorrow which is always a massive loss, Clough likes to keep things quiet but he had to go off on Saturday and was actually kept on too long.

Murphy and Perch also doubts, I see it’s not good news for FGR/Stevens after such a good season too.

Stevens`s injury is really bad news for him and I wish him a full recovery.
Not great for us either as we have played them twice and we are hoping they take points off our closer rivals such as Mansfield.

Perch and oates would be a big loss for any side in this league, perch has been amazing since he returned, can live without murphy.

What we will do is be right on you the very second you have the ball. If he plays bowery down the win and quinn starts weve a chance of getting something.

Mansfield will confirm our relegation and the death of this club on Saturday.

I am sure their fans will rub it in despite zero animosity between the clubs

I won’t be, as having been relegated to the conference it’s not fun and it’s completely out of your control.

It’s poor form in my view

only if us and Oldham win as well - I do like your confidence in both us and Oldham winning though - as it will help send Stevenage down.

I’m expecting Garrity to come into the team for this one in place of Amoo. He was sick last week but apparently the day before the game was ringing up Crosby repeatedly to say he could play. Love the attitude but good on Crosby making the right decision. Fantastic to see him get nominated for player of the month as well. Didn’t expect it to work out so well with him given some of what was said of his time at Oldham though we’ve taken advantage of what he can do well.

We owe this lot one for the robbery at VP. I think we’ll get our first penalty of the season tonight so Vale to win 1-0 and I’m guessing Wilson will be the taker.

Sure you’ll get some but flip it around and some Scunny lot would be guilty too, personally take zero pleasure of relegating Scunny. Stevenage and Evans on the other hand….

The atmosphere seems superb with the club, loved the celebrations Saturday and Carol on the pitch. Just got to keep grounded though and keep rattling off the points.
