Oldham tomorrow then. On paper we should win but especially earlier in the season these are the games we’ve screwed up. I think the intensity we are playing at is a completely different level to then and am hopeful it won’t happen tomorrow but Oldham are fighting for their lives and won their last two so this is no knockover job.

Be the same team again as Tuesday, no need to fix what isn’t broke. Suppose one potential change might be Gibbo being on the bench if he’s good to go.

One hope is, if you go back to that daylight robbery at their place... if Wilson and Proctor were fit and up front that day we'd have hit 5 or 6 and if Connor Hall was a Vale player at that time and Aaron Martin wasn't pre Xmas Aaron Martin we'd have not conceded 3 from set pieces lofted into the box.

Similar to Sutton and how we handled them a couple of weeks ago v how we did earlier in the season defensively I would hope we will have too much for Oldham... but as I always allude to this is Vale... we talk about it feeling different this time with this special team but guess these are the tests that will show if that really is the case.

Play as we have been in recent weeks we should win comfortably but we can't afford to take anyone lightly or you get your backsides bitten at this level.

Pools will surely be looking to throw our tie, they can't be relegated and don't want to go picking up wins and risking that Mid-Table Cup.

Manager has already said he wants to take a look at some of the stiffs and Luke Molyneux our biggest attacking threat is out, this is a home banker lads.

From my knowledge we have never been outnumbered by away fans at GP, that changes tomorrow

Hopefully Vale, Mansfield and FGR are still recovering from midweek.

Talking of throwing ties, now Carlisle are you sure you want to come all the way down here again next season....

Our levels have dropped off these last 2 games. At Rochdale it looked like we'd downed tools, at Tranmere we ended up dominating the game only because they were down to 10 men, but when it was 11 v 11 it was similar to Rochdale.

If we go into this Exeter game with the performance level of those last 2, I think Exeter will steam roll us and win easily. But hopefully we go back to the effort and attitude that got us the win 2 weeks ago against Bristol Rovers. If we do it will be a good competitive game.

Before my time, but I know a few Rovers fans have never forgiven you for beating us at Wembley!
I can't believe why any Rovers fans felt like that. I know it was our first Wembley appearance but we had just become champions beating the "shit " to the title. I saw the Wembley game as a day outafter that.

You are at home, so should be ok, maybe! But at theirs and 4-1 up you expect to go on to win. Second half they tore us apart. They can be lethal going forward. Drew 5-5!! We have them at home soon too. Will be interested to see how you go tomorrow.

Looks like a big attendance tomorrow, Oldham sold 1200 plus and the Lorne Street is sold out along with close to the Railway Stand. Should be looking at well over 8000 maybe more.

I reckon we could be getting near 10k tomorrow. Apparently we had sold 8.5k by yesterday afternoon, and a lot of people have been saying they are coming for the first time in years! Got to be 1k on the day purchases I reckon.

Would be great to see VP rocking and packed to the rafters these last few games. Let’s hope the boys put in a performance.

Bumper crowd expected at the CG again today. So much better when there’s a lot resting on results. Must win for us, I feel.

Can’t wait to get to see them live again at the CG. Been a long time for me.

Our win over Mansfield Tuesday was massive. Third successive home game today. And three points here would be huge for promotion ambitions. Therefore the pressure today on the players will be equal to Tuesday. May have lost another player on Tuesday night. All adds to the mix. Not getting any easier. God knows what will come out.

We've reportedly only used 19 players, so the spirit has been a big part in our season so far. Can't see that changing.

Good luck today. My brother would have been there too I'm sure. He was a life long Town supporter, unlike myself. He's definitely still wearing the shirt, that's a fact.

We have sold out our allocation! so there will be over 1200 away fans to bump the attendance up. unfortunately not me as i am being forced to go to aintree on a full hospitality package!, life's a bitch.

We have a pretty terrible record in recent years against Bradford, still have nightmares of the Wembley final. Considering how pessimistic I have been in recent weeks im oddly thinking we might scrape a 1-0 win today. Bradford have nothing to play for and hoping we can just scrape a win that may keep us potentially in range of a top 3 spot or at least ensure we dont drop out the playoffs.

The Wirral Rovers missing McPake and Tom Davies as well as the two banned players and only able to name 6 subs. Nothing to change my earlier prediction of an away win, hope we keep the scoreline respectable

Yeah just don’t Vale it up. All I can say is that’s the first time have queued to get in the Bycars for a while.

Fair fucks to Oldham too, looks a great following.

Sorry to the 7th-place chasers - we’ve dropped the L2 POTM and have three children in defence. Sutton’s playoff chances revived, methinks.
