Was hoping for Mansfield and Tranmere both coming back but hopefully 1 of the 2 come up now. MK Dons are similar to us in a sense that they don't do mid table, it's rather promotion or relegation, welcome back.

Better side on the day, no arguments from Mansfield.

We had a great chance to come join you and we fucked it up.

To the Lincoln bury and MK fans on here, the best of luck and hope you have good seasons - not sure how bury will manage it but hey!

Very true, at least it's not boring...think Wigan fans must be feeling the same. Two relegations and two promotions in the last five seasons for us.

Mmmm, great. To be quite honest they don't really bother me anymore despite the fact I'm an AFC Wimbledon supporter.Simply because they will never be respected as a club by not only our supporters obviously, but by football supporters in general.

Never. No decision by the authorities could ever be worse. They simply should not exisit at this level as they didnt acheive League status, but shockingly were given someone elses.

I have no problem whatsoever with people who disagree with how we came about. Even I as an MK supporter accept the arbitration panel shouldn't have allowed the move, and it won't likely ever happen again.

However it was 15 years ago, and the level of abuse the club and especially our fans get is atrocious simply for supporting our local club. You'd think we support the Nazi party or something. Honestly, a lot of people need to get over it and concentrate on other areas of their lives instead of freely abusing people who support and love their club like any other fan.

Fair enough if you dislike the club for whatever reason, don't respect us etc but the past can't be changed and there really are more important things in life. Do you really think in 50 years or whatever when you are lying on your death bed looking back at your life, MK Dons and the origins of the club are going to be of any relevence whatsoever?

Nope, I can most definitely say that MK Dons will still be irrelevant in 50 years time, so you’re right there.

We don’t dislike your club ‘for whatever reason’, we explicitly dislike it because you are a stolen team moved miles away from your origins, which you now have no connection to, by an opportunist who frankly thought he would make a bit more money up there.

We dislike you because it could have happened to any of us, we dislike you because it never should have been allowed to happen.

I would tell you to fuck off back to non-league but since you’ve never been there you’d be stealing a place from a worthy club down there yet again.

Good day to you sir.

See what I mean, it's this attitude that is just childish and pointless. Reeks of football tribalism in the worst sense. Again, the way people talk about it is as if we support the Nazi party or committed some a war crime. It's football FFS not genocide.

Lots of football fans just like to jump on the hate bandwagon because they've heard one view of things and use words like "stolen". It's not as simple as that and I suggest people look up the definition of it. If people are actually interested then I suggest they read up on the facts of the move - not just the FA decision, but the stadium situation with Wimbledon, Sam Hammam, the club's attendances etc.

Fair enough if you dislike the club or the owner, no need to direct it at supporters though who are simply following their local team, just like any other fan across the country believe it or not - if you disagree, explain why we're different to other fans without resorting to "coz ur plastic" or "coz u lot r a franchize innit". Many of our fans were too young to remember the circumstances.

Would you rather they just decided to support Man Utd/Liverpool/Chelsea etc with no connection at all?

At the end of the day, if hating MK Dons and our fans means that much to you that you resort to verbal abuse or worse then you seriously need to rethink your life. Again, in 50 years time on your death bed if we're in any way relevent to you (to the point you verbally abuse our fans) as you look back at your life, then I pity you.

This.

And it could've been us, not Wimbledon.

You do not have a rightful place in the football league.

The end.

Regardless, that wasn't what my post was about. Again, I have no issue with people disliking the club or the owner due to the move, but aiming abuse at our fans who support their local, L2 (now L1) club when there are millions of glory hunting Man Utd/Liverpool/Arsenal etc fans out there with no association to that club (and probably haven't been to a game) is too far.

Honestly, most fans of other clubs who resort to abuse like that do nothing to shake the stereotype of some football fans being mindless, tribalistic thugs.

Don't bother Franchisor. It's not worth it. Put your hair shirt on, self flagellate around every away stadium and they'll still spit on us. Or on the other hand, luxuriate in the fact we have hot water in the bogs, comfy seats and an Ikea next door to our stadium. :cool1:

If you know the history and you continue to support that team then you deserve to be shunned and disrespected by the rest of football. Wouldn't hold it against a 5 year old kid who went to a game with his parents but by the time they are 15/16 they should know better.

Whine and bleat all you like but you will never be treated as a normal club by the rest of us because you aren't one of us.

Too right. How many other fans of other clubs can buy a flat-pack extender table directly after winning promotion from L2?

Quite frankly I don't want to be part of anything that condones and actively verbally abuses people just because they follow a certain football team. Think you need to reassess your life priorities if that's the case.

Don't be naive PuB, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Guess we'll all just take all of it and not react.

Absolutely no-one had been abusive on this thread. You’ve just started banging on about it for no reason whatsoever.

You’re not relevant, you won’t be in 50 years time. You had to start your own welcome thread ffs. No-one cares.

In fact, just checked the first post and its you making a joke about no-one liking you.

It’s like you’ve tried to instigate some abuse, didn’t get any but decided to bleat on about it anyway.

What made you think I was talking about people in this thread? I wasn't. Some people can hold a rational conversation without resorting to it. I'm talking about people in general - take a look on Twitter, other forums etc whenever we are discussed.

Bloody hell, I can't win :ffs::lol: I take the piss out of the club I follow that everyone dislikes and still get criticised for it.
