Looking forward to a few trips in this league. Bolton, Charlton, MK, Coventry, a couple of tasty trips to teams currently in the playoffs, Oldham (weirdly) and of course the most anticipation is for the two games against Peterborough.

Quite happy with both of these. Northampton is close, we take a few and have a good record at Sixfields. Bolton is a new ground for me so that will be another on the grounds visited list next season. Couple of decent additions. Better than Plymouth and the MK Fucking Dons/Charlton. Christ.

Imagine a Gillingham fan having the temerity to slag another clubs away end..... Google "Hypocrisy"

There are several grounds about with worse away ends than ours. Accrington being one.

Sorry, but there is no way on this green Earth that a trip to Northampton or Bolton is better than one to London.

Bolton is a nice impressive looking ground, but there's bugger all around it to pass any time, not much in the way of pubs etc. Was surprised how under developed the area around it is, given how long the ground has been built and the level at which the club has played in that time.

I wasn't even that impressed by the ground. There's a complex around it with a few fast food resteraunts, but apart from that like you said there's not much else. The ground is very symmetrical - four near identical stands with a shit away end. I won't be going back in a hurry!

I can't believe there are people actually wanting to go to Accrington. I'm amazed their ground passed the criteria to make it into the Conference let alone the Football League.

You go there in January/February when it's raining sideways and borderline freezing and you'll all change your tune.

We're proper men us northerners we can deal with the cold mate.

Yet you moan about our away end. The amount of girlish bleating about there being no roof is constant.

'Proper men'.

Seeing as the last time we played Wednesday at Priestfield it was still terracing, I call bullshit on this one.
It was awful as terracing. Sticking some golf seats in won't change that pal

Was beautiful in your away end this year. I don't moan about it having no roof it's a fucking scaffold and no one in it normally that's what makes it a bit shit.

So you admit it, you haven't been to the ground with that particular stand in? Sounds like a bandwagon jumper to me.

You know we didn't just bolt seats on the terrace like Luton and Southend did right?

It is a different structure entirely.

If it had a roof and a proper structure around it, it could be good for generating noise and make a decent away end. The scaffolding site that it is at the moment though is utter dogshite, which incidently is what the streets of Gillingham is covered in

Teams have made noise in it in the past, so that's an urban myth that it's impossible.

I meant for any random team sorry, you know what our away support is like we need all the help we can get

Well yes, for certain teams there isn't much hope. We've taken to giving smaller followings the corner of the Gordon Road stand, so they have plenty of walls and a roof to try and make a sound. They mostly don't bother though!

Tbf your fans the other day were actually the quietest I've ever seen. A lot of teams are quiet including ourselves away but apart from 2 versions of you dirty northern bastards there literally wasn't a peep for a team going for promotion

It's the 'temporary' scaffolding and the fact that we always end up in the top tier, miles from anywhere for no apparent reason...or is there?
How can you compare your away end with others as you haven't actually been in it for the experience?

I have been in that end as it happens.

I don't honestly know why away fans get put in the upper tier, they never used to be. Better view I guess.

I only have one good thing to say about being high up in that stand, the cheerleader I was flirting with from a distance wasn't able to see how ugly I am

You chose to flirt with one of our cheerleaders? :conf:

Good view up there, my preferred area of the ground actually.
