It's staggering how you have stood by and watched Stuart Day and his cronies do this to your club. There has been a very long running thread on the Rochdale messageboard (ok...including much piss taking) which contains REAL evidence that should have led to action against your Board well before the bulk of the overspending occurred. Your Supporters Trust has been nothing short of a disgrace, and not fit for purpose.

Sadly, with a few very notable exceptions (and they were treated with disdain by many bury fans) nobody questioned where the money was coming from. You were all , in the main, very happy to have signed a raft of players who were financially out of reach for other clubs at L1 level....but you all lapped it up.

I feel genuinely sorry for whichever L2 team is denied a promotion based on the financial sculduggery that has been going on for YEARS,

Never wish bad on any club, but sooner or later, the EFL (or more likely HMRC) will force someone out of business.

Fans have their own lives to contend with not everyone is sad enough to sit go through hundreds of documents on the Internet. That job is for a governing body such as the EFL they should have a duty to protect clubs that are clearly making big loses year after year.
Rochdale fans didn’t look up this info to be kind to another club it’s purely based on hatred and another stick to throw at us while making your own club look like saints. Most of them on that forum are sad c*** that enjoy hating Bury more than enjoy supporting Dale. There’s been a few that have joined our MB and acted all nice but would slag us off back on your forum.

There are lots of clubs that make big losses every year, Southend for one fail to pay players and HMRC on a regular basis but I’m yet to see anyone get on their backs - will they if they stay up ? Probably not.

Let’s hope that now your chairman who was very good for you has left you don’t allow someone bad into replace him.

Southend routinely miss HMRC payments, but they are always paid in the end. Not sure if they’re in that much debt either.

I'm sorry, but you don't have to be a saddo and sift through a load of documents to know Bury have been paying players they can't really afford for a good few years now. Surely the alarm bells were ringing when you signed Jermaine Beckford? His wages at Preston were 10k a week...

Head firmly in sand eh Tommy?

As others have said; it's really quite amazing how blinkered most (but not all) Bury fans have been. Sadly, those who have raised genuine concerns have largely been shouted down as naysayers.

"enjoy the ride" seems to have been your mantra.

What would you feel if it was your club that had been denied promotion due to the scandalous financial mismanagement of another team?

And I say this as someone who donated to your last big appeal after you went the same way with buying your way into the Championship on stolen money.

So they’ve decided not to pay their players last month for fun then?

I haven’t said that, I’m aware of the players we have signed. However as a fan on his own what do you want me to do about it? Boycott? Why should I boycott something I enjoy doing with my dad every other weekend because there was no one stopping us from cheating?

I know what we have done, but it’s up to the EFL to stop or punish us for what we have done. I’m not sure what else you want me to say? If the EFL don’t have the balls to do anything why should I care? Football is fucked financially and it’s not down to just Bury football club.

Careful Tommy lad. They paid everyone two days late !!! Not exactly in the same galaxy as at Gigg.

Genuinely hope that you can sort the whole mess out....so long as local businesses and families are not ripped off by a prepack Administration and have to settle for a pittance.

I'm not saying you should do anything personally, but as the Rochdale said I'm surprised a Supporters' Trust hasn't been set up. Yes the power of fan groups is limited and of course it's down to the EFL to take action, but we all know they won't. So it's down to the supporters to at least have a voice. Just take a look down the road at Bolton and Blackpool who at least try to influence things.

You can’t pick and choose what cheating is. No club should ever fail to pay their staff unless they have had extreme circumstances e.g. home games called off all month.

Yes it’s really doing Bolton a lot of good at the moment isn’t it? Blackpool only seemed to get involved when they got relegated from the Premier league and fell down to league 2. I don’t remember them boycotting games when they were good?

Blackpool's protest against the Oystons dates back to the early 90s. Their boycott started when they began suing fans in 2013/14.

As for Bolton, no they might not be having a huge impact but that's because their power is limited. It doesn't mean you just sit ildly by and let it happen right under your nose though. If you enjoy the experience of going to the match with your Dad then surely you want it to continue for the foreseeable future, not just the next season or two? Right now there's doubts over that, so why isn't your fanbase at least trying to do something about it?

Absolutely fans can have power and influence. Never ever overlook that. Look at my club. We were very like, if not worse than, Bury and anyone ekse you care to mention. Receiverships, admins bad and stupid owner after owner (come on - a F1 track in the air over the M1 and new ground - doesnt get any worse than that)

The FA and the FL had enough and everyone knows what happened from there with docked points and relegations..... . We regrouped formed several fans groups and trusts and ±/- ten years on our AMAZING Cheif Exec and board are from these very groups. With money, vision, planning and a level of success. Most of all a future. ALL FROM THE POWER OF THE SUPPORT

All this has been discussed in depth on the megafred …. if the mods would be so kind as to re promote it up to L1.

The actions of "SOME" of our fans that tried to get involved last time (Beau and lee Devonport I'm looking at you here) mean I would never like to see fans control my club. The bickering would be off the scale.

It was reported at a fans meeting for Bury last night that Plymouth and Notts County have been contacted about the possibility of not being relegated.

I don't get this "contacted about the possibility" I picture someone from the office ringing up saying "just so you know you might not be relegated or you might, just thought we'd let you know"

during the period between the conclusion of the last Play-Off Match and the start of the following Season, its playing record shall not be expunged but the number of relegation places from the Division in which a Club would have played but for its cessation of membership, shall be reduced by the number of Clubs ceasing to be members and, during that Season, the relevant Division shall operate with a reduced number of Clubs.

That reads to me as though L1 will run with 23 teams.

It does to me but I think they'll be certain season ticket holder buyers wanting a refund for the home game missing.
It will also mean next season only 3 down from L1 and 1 down from L2

It then falls down to the NL and down, a lot of messing about. We already lost Gateshead so NL is at 23 now. I think as suggested it's more likely that Plymouth get a reprieve

I really cant see us getting liquadated just because of how bad it would look for the EFL brand but then i look at our situation and wonder how the fuck we are gonna get out of it.

You wouldn’t be the first lower league team to go under. Let’s be honest the powers that be don’t give a fuck about our clubs so I doubt they would lose any sleep if you were to be liquidated
