Must have been a mental day for you lot, was really nice to see a sea of sky blue it must have spurred the players on to no end. Contrast that with the 20 fans Rovrum brought yesterday and it’s night and day.

What are your ambitions for next season Cov fans? Clearly you’re too big even for this league yet you’ve just come up through the play-offs so is it consolidation on the cards or do you think going for back to back promotions is achievable?

I'd be happy with a decent top half finsh.

We now have finally dispelled the feeling throughout the club that we cannot achieve a promotion (See Clinton Morrisons comment of "its Cov innit")

I do think however we will be back in the Championship by 2021 (God Willing)

For me it has to be consolidate , let the yougster get more experience at a higher level for a season then perhaps playoff the season after that.
I love that all those youngsters planning and on the bench have come through the academy. Really proud of the team.
The fans were superb today, must mention the Exeter fans were fantastic too. A great atmosphere in and outside the ground

Congrats, Coventry! The fans deserve it after all those years in the bottom half of whatever division you were in at the time.

Extra congrats to Doyle and McNulty. Both very well liked when they were with us.

I should think you'd be over the moon with a top half finish. Considering last time you were absolutely awful and finished 14 points from safety, surely you'd be happy with safety?

We now have momentum, and have finally actually achieved something. Budget should be bigger than last season in league 1, and a manager who has done something at Coventry City that only 3 other men have, that is orchestrate a promotion.

IMO the thing that has held this club back for so many years (long before Sisu) is the loser mentality. The whole idea of "that'll do", and "there's always next year". From speaking to friends who support other clubs, we seemed to be the worst for having this mentality.

We really need to capitalise on this small bit of success (I say small because we need to remember that 6th in Division 4 isn't anything amazing), because if we don't do it now, we never will

Yeah fair enough, it's amazing what a bit of momentum and success can do

Glad to be back. Significantly better away grounds to visit and bigger clubs coming to us.

Sunderland at home will be interesting. We'll have to put barriers up around Jimmy Hill's statue!

Trip to the Casino it is then, do Coventry fans think you'll get a rise in home crowds next season? Or more or less all still boycotting except for Wembley it seems?

We did have a director with no managerial experience in charge for 2 months and then the catastrophic Russel Slade for 3 months who left with a win rate of 5%
Like the Coundon says a top half finish i would be delighted with, not saying it will happen but we have a great feel around the club at the moment, we had seven academy players either playing o on the bench yesterday. That's what we must keep doing, playing the youngsters who now have had a good and hard first season under their belt, a lot of them are Cov kids and its great to see and is the reason the players and fans have really connected this season

Regarding fan numbers, I would think 15000 max home numbers at the start, that will either go down or slightly up depending on whatever happens over the next seven months.
The owner/fan problems are still there and I'm convinced if they kept the Chairman away, and permanently from ever opening his gob again, lots more might come back, they absolutely loathe the bloke

10,000 give or take I reckon.

Our door prices are quite dear, however I do believe ST sales are up from last season.

Congratulations and welcome back to league one.
Pleased for my step dad who is ansky blue.

Fairly local game for us so selfishly it’s good news for next season.
Seems as if there is a good vibe around the city at the moment- what with the the city of culture award as well.

It's closer than Exeter which is a plus given our nearest game will be Bradford. Also a nice bit of good news for Coventry fans after the years under their ownership.

Big away end and I'm sure some of our fans will find the Jimmy Hill statue of great interest on our trip there.

I live in Leamington. A number of my friends went to the play off final to support their local team but are not actual Cov supporters. There is a massive potential fanbase in the area. However the club seemed to have missed a trick and not got them hooked when you were doing well in the Prem. If you can get on a roll the club definitely has potential if you can start to attract these local supporters. Just need to get rid of the owners

So true. Coventry, as a city, is going through its best time in a over a generation. City of culture 2021, European City of sport 2019, both football and rugby sides finally having some form of success and two thriving universities.

Good people of Coventry deserve a little bit of joy!

Don't like the city of Coventry at all. Very grim place. Their fans have suffered a bit, so fair play for getting promoted. It's always been a lively place to go for villa, but as a club I think they are possibly at their level. You wouldn't even Class them as a big club in the championship imo. They have a decent enough catchment area, but there does not seem any attachment from the locals to the club.

Not sure I agree about them being at their level.

They’re not a ‘huge’ club but they have only spent about 30 years outside of the top two divisions in their history. I think it was 31 years consecutively they were in the first division/PL.

At the very least, they are a Championship sized club.
