I was basically considering that Wednesday brought over 3,000 to us the other week. How would your ground cope? (Similar distance etc)
Same as clubs with lower allocations have this season would, can only sell us what they have sadly.

We wouldn’t. Would be all ticket and we’d give them 1200 or so.

Part of the reason we’re moving down to M5 junction 13 is to cope with bigger away followings, until then that’s all we can give anyone allocation wise.

I reckon they’d give you at least 1,500 if you asked. It’s not meant to be in any way belittling to them, I’m just wondering about practicalities.

I must say that new ground looks very impressive from the pictures I’ve seen. What’s the capacity going to be?

I'd hate us to have to move from Hillsborough but it is looking more and more the only option given the archaic and draconian control by the SAG.

The stadium capacity was 39,812 but the NW Corner isn't deemed safe so the 1,382 seats have now been removed.

That should leave just shy of 38.5k available however cos concourses are now classed as too narrow parts of the stands get netted off and suddenly a sell out is 33.5k ffs.

So the way it's planned initially is for 5k but the structure will be built to fit 10k (which is shown in the renderings) so I think it will be a case of installing the extra seating inside the existing bowl to double the capacity if we find that to be too small (which might well be the case if we can stick around at this level whilst it's built).

Train to Stroud, no 63 bus runs regularly stops outside our ground so no need to walk up the hill. Takes about 25-30 mins on the bus.

There’s also a park and ride service running from Renishaws.
3 hour train to stroud then a bus.

Minibus it is.

For information purposes should we do a Wednesday and fuck it all up what allocation are we looking at down at Nailsworth and Exeter (went to that 5-1 snow filled game)
1300 roughly. We have a 'new' terrace for you to experience these days

I remember shovelling the snow prior to the game to ensure it was on. Liam Sercombe scored a worldy. Great game and worth the manual labour to get the game on!

Volley wasn't it?

Train down was piece of piss but was touch and go if they'd run one back and first was cancelled, they agreed to run the 6.30ish and got in just before 11.

Yeah I believe it was. I've had a very very quick look on youtube to see if I could find the highlights but can't. Certainly can find the reverse 2-1 victory we had though, with our manager making a cameo appearance and Troy running the length of the pitch to slot it past your GK. One of my all time favourite away games, only topped by our JPT win over Pl*mouth - it might have even been the same year!

Yep, falling short of the Play Offs by 1 point, and securing our joint highest ever finish as a club
Our joint lowest finish I think.

You brought a fair number up that day

Why was the NW corner deemed unsafe?

Seem to recall our overspill from the LL end going in there in 98, though at 5-0 down, wasn’t many left.

Structural apparently.

I have zero recollection of you going in there but can recall the match, you were in a purple away kit, November 97, Booth hat trick, Di Canio and Whittingham? Was 5 before half time.

Was Peter Shreeves in temp charge too.

I haven't been to Hillsborough for a good few years but even back then it was looking tired. There must come a point where demolition and rebuilding is a better option then tarting up year on year. Can't that be done at Hillsborough rather than moving away to a new build?

Welcome all.

I hope L1 isn't as hard next season as this. You'll notice there's a definite split between the top half and bottom half i.e. those who can pay the good L1 wages and those who can't (Swap Accy and Charlton over and I suspect it's about bob on).

According to Mr macantony it's already Peterborough's title, his bullshit starts earlier every season!
Sammy Szmodics will get a very friendly welcome I've no doubt...

Work with one, laps up every word he says , he's loved there.
Granted the utter clown told me last year he was a better chairman than mine as he lives in the UK so cares more than our South African based chairman... their chairman lives in califorina!

Is that strict wage cap still in place down here?

I'm guessing not considering the recent Ipswich spending.
