I've seen a few of those over the years and been to your Graveyard Ground for rained off games and half-rained off games. Hope it a dry match next season.

Well I hope we carry on with the wins, but not bother with the relegation bit this time around!

Welcome back Grimsby. Good to have two "proper" clubs coming up from non league. The novelty of these tinpot hobby clubs has well and truly warn off.

I think we’re all about to migrate back over!
Son of Cod is in an awkward spot, gave it the big one about going over and how shit this place was etc.

The people who migrated last season have made this forum worse as the L2-NL is now non existent but they've just isolated themselves. Still can't see it being up to much over there. They made a poor call IMO. A lot of band wagon jumpers.

Think he migrated over to the other place. I could tolerate him tbf. Bit nuts but pretty harmless.

Decent poster when his head is on straight but gets very touchy on certain things.

The other place never once broke though, nor was it littered with ads. It’s far better and was when the NL contingent migrated, if the majority stay here then it’s worth posting but this place was a farce when we all left

This forum had literally just got taken over and although I can't say I'm here everyday, I actually can't remember the last time this forum was down. And it's not littered with ads for me.

Everyone migrated over and it's made both places worse I'm sure because the L2-NL connection was good as often sets of supporters will want to discuss players or whos coming up etc with each other. But that was cut from the people who migrated. The L1-L2 bond is strong on here for example where posters mix in and out. NL has now lost that. Not that I'm arsed, hopefully we don't bother NL again anyway.

Not for the first time either. There’s having a bit of discussion/banter and believing your own shit doesn’t stink.

SOC and Fish will remain over there I reckon.

In reality you’ve got to doff your cap to a side that goes down and comes back up, grimsby and stockport aren’t quite the derby and shefifeld weds i was hoping for but heyho.

On the upside chesterfield are still in the pit of misery, dilly dilly.

Wednesday would never be allowed to drop to L2, EFL would find ways to save them.

I have got to admit I was looking were Dorking actually was rather than looking upwards. Really, really pleased to be back in the footie league; never left this site like some, wasn't asked and didn't notice when it happened as I was on a mega holiday!

Cheers all, nice to read your congratulations.
You won’t say that when you’ve been.
Never an opportunity missed for that one, Adam Stag bread and butter right there.

Why would I be in an awkward spot? I wouldn't have any qualms coming back over if I wanted to but I don't right now. Just checking in here because I felt the love we have been shown in here deserved recognition. I might well decide to come back at some point but I'd rather give the admin lot on the other forum a fair crack than the ones over here who don't really care about this place. Said my piece in the other thread in the non-league forum, up to you if you choose to ignore it once again. No hard feelings mate, it's clear to see you miss me and are hurting but time is a great healer x

Me and masi are all good now and have been for ages but thanks for your kind words there my friend.

We should get that 1FF Grimsby Mansfield meet/pint sorted this season (that was once mentioned...possibly the season before COVID just before Ian Holloway came in to lead us up to League 1). Hoping for you lot away on a Saturday.

Shame you and Fish aren’t coming back, you’d both be great in this section. The other forum can keep that Halifax fan though.

Nowt wrong with posting on both?

Wow I'm gobsmacked. SOC won't post on here but is willing to meet up for a pint with 1FF posters. I believe that's a clear case of tapping up. Blatant.

Dunno, the name is very similar to here, think it's One Football Forum. And then the users just copied all the same threads over that they used to use on here. Proper forced job.

Codsy will be back on here in like November, begging it, "wants to stay on there" what's he going to talk about Maidenhead vs Aldershot whilst we're all dropping little titbits bout whether this Jason McAtee can make the step up. He'll come steaming on here throwing hayemakers.

I like him btw, he is a good poster, so I'd rather he came over. I'm glad Grimsby got prmoted. Was a proper, old school football match/day when we went there this season.

But trust me he'll beg it. He'll drunk text this forum at one point. Guarenteed, he's like your ex who's pretending she's moved on by posting snaps of her in Amsterdam with her new fella who's shorter than you. But then you wake up and she's been hitting you up sending stupid messages at 2am on a Saturday morning.

That's Codsy that.

100% prime bait there from Stocky, reminiscent of the Harrogate fan BEEF, how does SOC play it, ignore it and stick to his principles or fall into the trap and engage, tense, we wait…

whatever happened to the one Harrogate fan on here - did he leave with the NL guys because he knows that's where Harrogate belong??
