A begrudging well done to Rovers, back to back promotions is a remarkable achievement, even from those really low divisions. I'd expect them to consolidate well enough in League 1.

I wonder if they'll have a battle on their hands to keep Clarke now? What he's achieved must have made other clubs sit up and take note.

What? With all their millions. Be interesting to see how/if the invest in the summer. It's a piss poor league again and if they do, indeed, have more money than a cow's got c***, they may well be joining you soon enough.

Enough to make yer cider cloudy, that!

I guess we can pencil in a Tuesday night trip to Bristol then for the 4th or 5th time in a row that we've played Rovers or City.

Thanks for the welcome, both the good and the bad. Still riding high at the moment bar the hangover, was great scenes yesterday in the ground and on Glos Rd.

In no illusions that this league is a step up in quality. This summer will be a bit of a revelation, the first under the new regime. First and foremost I'd be trying to lock down DC, an exceptional young manager, back to back promotions. We could be without Matty Taylor, our top scorer last two years. On the positive side, we are riding a hell of a lot of momentum. Going to be fun and a complete change from conference only a couple of years ago.

It is things like this that really fascinate me with football.

Promoted from the conference after the narrowest of margins, a penalty shoot-out in a play-off final and now one year later, promoted to League One. One missed penalty kick and you could now have been looking at a third straight season in the conference instead. Great achievement.

I'm not totally sure that there is much difference in quality from league 2 to league 1 to be honest. I haven't seen a decent team this season and we've been consistently mediocre for the best part.

Its crazy. In 2015, we did away trips to Nuneaton, Woking, Halifax and Gateshead. Depending on the fixtures, we could be doing Coventry, Charlton, Sheffield United and Bolton in 2016.

Loved the Conference though - such accommodating sets of fans. Think that's possibly because we only spent a year down there mind...

I like to think its weaker than the last time we both came up. Looking back, Southampton, Norwich, Leeds, Millwall, Charlton (different to now), Leicester etc. it was a tough league. I think with a few additions we can adapt well.

Came in fa cup about 3 years ago it was shit. Posh stuck up c*** in most pubs, no old school pubs at all and the grounds a joke too next to a frankie and benny's or whatever it was.

You didn't look very hard then did you.

Eric does post on here, mainly crap.

Welcome both, would have preferred Accy over Oxford, although Oxford is nice and close and Bristol is a good trip.

Oh dear. Seems like someone has got under your skin?

Enlighten me then for next year

Don't go to the obvious places in the city centre. They're for tourists. Oxford is a very working class city and not all Inspector Morse country, so wander off the beaten track and prepare to be surprised.

At least we're no longer the only club in the league with less than 4 stands.

I don't like Oxford. I don't mind Bristol Rovers, though.

Good to see Oxford come up, they and their fans were great at Wembley. Also welcome to Bristol Rovers, by far the most likeable club in Bristol.

Always liked the Blades as well, would have watched them if I ever lived in the frozen North. :hb:

 I wouldn't worry about it CiderUp, I always say I'd rather be disliked than patronised. People usually pity the smaller club in a rivalry.

Oh I'm not worried bud, just having a giggle. I can understand it from the likes of Port Vale but expected better from the Blades. Maybe they've decided that Wednesday are just far better so have formed a 'shittest' club in the City coalition with Port Vale and the scum?
