Another reason to get back out of this league, another boring club.

yeah, great that we miss the Franchise, hope they go bust.

Looking forward to our relegation campaign next season!

Is Ainsworth still pleading poverty every time he does an interview?

Hell yeah. I think it’s pretty accurate but then when Accy won the division it sounds pretty lame.

Yep because the club is run on a shoestring, no high wages and we don't or can't afford to sign players. Money isn't everything as ourselves and Accrington have proved this season.

Congratulations Wycombe, nice to see you get up here after we beat you (somewhat fortuitously) in the L2 play off final a few seasons ago.

Finally after today the pain of that day has vanished at last :woot:

Pros - nice club, nice fans, Bayo, lovely scenery viewed from the away end.

Cons - style of play.

Oh well, welcome anyway (providing we stay up).

Welcome, Wycombe to surely smash us at Roots Hall to get over that playoff game a little more.
Joe Piggot's going to be happy to see these again, providing he's still with Wimbledon next season.

To be honest, although Ainsworth has unquestionably been a good manager for this club (and we’ll miss him when he goes) I wouldn’t cry if someone nicked him in the summer, if it meant that a) we tamed the dark arts bullshit and b) got some compensation out of it.

We’ll see how it goes though and today’s the day to be congratulating the manager and the squad.

He will be, as far as I'm aware. Positioning excellent for the goals he's scored but he needs to bulk up as he gets bullied off the ball.

Nah. I’m really not bitter about that game, yes it was gutting on the day but typically, had we just tried to play football rather than going out of our way to timewaste, we would have won. Karma.

Replacing Northampton as the 'local enough that both games will be big attendances but other than that they're shit at can fuck off' game of the season then

Thanks for the point. It mightn't have meant a lot to you but it did to us. Good luck in the Championship.
Gutted that we couldn’t win it at the end. One goal for the league and the chance to go for 100 points. If Powell had played from the start we’d have won, but you earnt that point for working your bollocks off, throwing bodies at everything, and taking advantage of our one big cockup to score. Now an arse twitching evening awaits in the dark backwaters of Yorkshire next week.

Nah we are on the beach, might even play the fringe players next week given that a few have been playing with injuries, Marquis for one, you will get your win and the title we’re generous like that.

How many games did you have to call off and replay to get promoted then?

I’m sure many rovers fans, like myself, will be hoping to absolutely batter Wycombe next season and send them packing back down to league 2.

Welcome btw

Listened to BBC on the way home yesterday and he mentioned it at least three times

I'm glad Wycombe are here. Another small budget team that we can realistically hope to finish above (not saying we will, hoping we will). Having Pompey, Plymouth etc promoted last year did not help us.

Cons - style of play.

Bit rich from Wimbledon!!

Thankfully we were so efficient at whining, timewasting, diving and hoofing that we didn’t need to resort to such underhandedness as you describe, dearie.

I’m sure we will look forward to welcoming Bristol’s second team with the usual enthusiasm.

This is quite disappointing this promotion, I'd have preferred Exeter and based over the last two seasons, they deserved it. You lot have no idea what you're in for next season!

A team with no youth team, no academy, no reserve team, 9 players over 30 and a forward line consisting of Tyson, Mackail-Smith and Akinfenwa - a combined centenarian. What exactly is the long term plan here?

Wycombe under Ainsworth are a team that slows the game down from the first throw in - genuinely. They try every trick in the book to try and kill any attempt of a game.

What is it with people from Luton and the word 'deserve' Wycombe got the 3rd most points. What's it got to do with Exeter last season on this years promotion? They have also been here before you were last here so not sure why they have no idea of what to expect.
