Yep heard the same DC alleging the keeper spat at Raggett and hoping it's been caught video so they can show the ef as he'd the pitch when it happened, not good if true.

Here's a question, how do FGR usually get on in conditions like that? I know Cooper likes to play "football" so what's his team talk on a day like this? I'd be surprised if there's a contingency plan or any sort of preparation for conditions like that but may be wrong.

Positives we only conceded 1.

Negatives we're shit. Far too many individual errors this season.

Contingency plan in those conditions seemed to be go more direct, worked to a point in that we were more solid but created virtually nothing and still made a howler anyway.

Seemed mad to take Shams off for the young lad at the end, what was that about?

Doidge was very good in the air against us last year, assume he is generally good in the air. So direct should work for you as an option, only problem being you need a Doidge to chase the flicks and finish them as well.

No idea. Saw a couple of the lads goals on twitter for the academy on Saturday, maybe Coops hoping he might pull off something tonight.
Shams was never going to score.

Ah, fair enough. Just seemed odd to take a big lump off then have the keeper up at the end.

Some great comments from Scott Laird in his post-match interview...

"They're a big side, I think their smallest player is about 6ft.

"I just hope we don't conduct ourselves like they do, ever, because they weren't very nice.

"They will do alright because they make it hard for the officials, they make it hard for the opposition, they make it hard for the away fans. They slow it down, they niggle and fall over. They've got Rhead who is 6ft 6ins, 30 odd stone and he falls over with a touch of a feather.

"I don't want to sound bitter just because we've lost, I just hope we don't conduct ourselves like they do."

This bit is spot on to be honest except obviously 30 odd stone is not really accurate, unless he's shed a few stone pre season the lovable fat cheating lump of shit.

Didn't look like conditions that were great for any kind of football whatsoever but I was a little surprised that neither side seemed to test the 'keeper from long range when the wind was behind them and it seemed a game with basically no chances.

Terrible defening for our goal and from your FK. Anderson started his run about 40 yards behind the defender.

Raggett did his Terry Butcher impression 6 or 7 times in that first half it seems!

Of the 14 players used last night, 6 aren't over 6'. :ffs:

This also coming from a guy whose break in professional football was under Graham Westley...

We aren't the role over, help yourself to three points outfit anymore. Clubs and fans don't like it and see us far more seriously as a threat.

Any formal complaint about the alleged spitting yet or was that bullshit?

I am fairly sure it happened because DC wouldn't make stuff up for nothing. Whether anything was done before to provoke the said incident I have no idea but spitting at an opponent is pretty low. Guess it all depends if it was captured on camera anywhere but I have a feeling this won't go any further if not.

Agree it would be low but also wouldn't be surprised if DC's taken your player's word for something that might not be so clear cut. As you say, suppose we'll never know without video. Don't know enough about the young loanee to say for definitely it's out of character but he's not looked in the slightest feisty from what I've seen.

Raggett's about as placid as they come, he's never reacted to anything in his time here so something must have happened.

Might have heard it wrong, but I thought DC said he'd seen it. It was a poor reception when I was trying to listen to interviews on the radio last night, so I may be wrong there.

Really pleasing to come away from two away games on the bounce with 6 points, against tough opponents and in awful conditions.

Was he sniffing around yesterday? Cooper did that with Pennock. Totally classless.

Tbf Coops used to come to quite a few of our games, especially once he buried the hatchet with Trev. Saw him at TNL long before Pennock was under pressure, even when Hockaday was in charge. And in the build up to Pennock getting the boot he was managing Notts so can't see how he could have been sniffing around at that point? Unless the Pennock sacking was planned weeks in advance.

The latter is what I've heard. Garry King, though? Who made that one up?

Raggett has mentioned being spat at on his twitter.
Video evidence is been looked at and the match officials are aware of the incident too.
Grimsby fans accusing us of having dirty players, how many red cards this season was it?
O yeah 5 in in the first 5 games and another lad on 4 bookings already....
