Not sure whether to be positive after that or not. Barring a crazy 15 minute spell, we were probably the better side and worthy of a result. Some really good football was played and O'Dowda and Eliasson looked excellent. But... you can't just brush under the carpet the fact that we fell to pieces and conceded three times in that 15 minutes. It was weak and indisciplined with shades of our awful run last season, but then you look at WBA's front three and think are there any better in this league?

Dunno what to think really. I guess we're looking at another season of hit and miss performances, but from what I've seen so far, I'm confident we'll be in no danger.

Watched on the sky red button and it was a lesson in fast counter attacking football and lethal finishing for me. The Baggies had 11 goal attempts to our 23 according to radio Bristol plus we have the lion's share of possession.
Their counter attacking was extremely high quality to be fair but that's what an England international in midfield plus £27M up front can do.
What the f*** Hunt was doing for their 4th I have no idea but that was footballing suicide to piss about with the ball in your own final 3rd as he did. Put it in row Z, we don't have to play tappy tappy in every situation.
I'm not too disappointed as we played well but have to credit the Baggies on their finishing, fair pay to them. Bear in mind, two of their goal came from City attacking positions.
Luckily, we won't face forwards of that standard too often this season.

Rodrigues, Gayle... and especially Barnes were class.. rest of that team is bang average tbh.

We will play worse than that (last Saturday) and win. O’dowda was absolutely brilliant today, best I’ve seen from him and he’s put in some top notch performances.. he played well when wife but I thought he really excelled when played more central.. him and elliason on either flank is some prospect moving forward!

Hunt had a bit of a shocker, and Patterson was awful when he came on, instead of us pushing for more goals when he came on it pretty much had the opposite effect.

Pack dominated the midfield and thought brownhill played well too. Definitely didn’t deserve to lose that game but can’t knock the team for their efforts, didn’t give in for the full 90 minutes.

Frustrating tonight as we looked alright, just an error for the first and we didn’t react to the goal and a couple of goals came soon after and that was that.

Can’t say we deserved anything, but we played okay - nothing to worry about.
