Definitely, they are actually quite depressing to watch. I always had Bilić down as a manager that would be pretty popular in the dressing room, even if he looks like he could kill a man without feeling a thing, but they look like they aren't playing for him at all.

Well I’m not sure why you would when he’s obviously told them that the way to beat us is to kick it long, go to the ground and hope for a free kick. I’m not one to criticize defensive football (Mourinho aside) but this is truly pathetic from Bilic. Some of that was embarrassing.

The defending for their goal was horrible. We lose the ball and all of Ox, Mané and to a lesser extent Firmino and Salah jog back, if that. Leaves six players to defend for an extended amount of time which will very, very often result in a goal. Horrible and so easily avoidable as West Ham weren’t exactly bombing forward. Luckily they can’t defend either.

Aside from their goal which was the stuff of nightmares we played ok I thought. Salah is very good but Firmino just can't seem to finish off a chance. Mané had a quiet game by his standards and still got two assists.

I liked the look of this 4-4-2 but there were some key ingredients missing. A lot of the time it seemed unclear between the winger and the near centre mid who should cover the half space which made us look passive in the middle third at times, which isn't exactly like us. And I'd rather see Gomez in the middle with TAA at right back to be honest, but that goes for any formation.

Onwards and upwards, we're third!
