Just finished watching Strike Back series 5 which is the final one as Sky aren't making any more. I think the time is right to stop before it gets too silly, yes i know it's silly but it was good fun with all the killing and shagging going on.

Rather enjoying Les Témoins (Witnesses), which is about halfway through its run on Channel 4. Probably best avoided by those who have (understandably enough) had their fill of European police procedural dramas, but recommended to those who haven't.

Main TV project at the moment is revisiting Twin Peaks, which I haven't seen since watching it on VHS (yikes!) in the late 1990s. Was curious to see how well it would hold up, especially with a third series apparently on the way. Would the first series be as brilliant as I remember it? Yep. Would the second series start well but then become a disappointing mess? Dunno yet. Only up to the second episode. Twenty to go!

As an aside, does anyone know the latest with regard to the third series? Seem to be various different accounts out there.

Lynch back on board. Extended to 18 episodes (haven't said if they'll split em between to 2 seasons). Quite a few of the cast confirmed to return, and Badalamenti. Shooting (in digital, which seems very wrong...) to start next month, but looks like the air date has been pushed back to 2017. I think that's all we know at the mo.

Currently watching a lot of a real life American Homicide detective show called "First 48"

Detectives in major cities in the United States race against the clock in the wake of homicides, knowing that if they don't find a lead within the first 48 hours, their chances of solving a case are cut in half. The programme shows how detectives use forensic evidence and witness interviews to help identify suspects.

Absolutely gripping stuff. Very moving, too.
The little value some people place on a human life is staggering. Murdering innocent people at the drop of a hat for absolutely fuck all, in most cases.

Mad Men. About five seasons in. More involved than I expected to be. Think Matthew Weiner was on the Sopranos writing team and it shows: handling of themes, ensemble, structure, character study not so much similar as copied straight from that template. Not that I'm complaining, it's pretty good.

Well fuck me sideways that Pretty Little Liars finale was top notch. Dunno if I liked it or not but it was entertaining all the same and well explained. Time hop probably means it goes shit from here but I will watch it till the bitter end like a #true #fan

Started to watch Luther series 1 again, what an outstanding piece of drama just a shame the BBC don't show programmes of this quality anymore.

My Mrs was moaning about this the other day actually. She said it felt rushed and the time jump was weird.

All I know is that Mike from suits is diddling one of them, and she's pretty tidy.

Tell her she's wrong. Time jump is a bit weird though granted.

Yeah, Troian Bellisario. Mike's in PLL early on as a guest star and she's been in Suits a couple of times too - including the latest episode. They might be married actually, not sure.

catching up on my sky planner backlog, Ray Donovan series 3 is amazing again so far and True Detective season 2 is great too.

The League (Netflix). I thought it looked terrible from the description but after the first few episodes, I think it's very funny. Gets better as it goes on.

PaulHaddock, The League is a great show, watched it through about 4 times,

Actors are spot on for that, I'd read the book if you can some quite good tales about Sobel.

Funnily enough was thinking of getting it after reading about Winters opinion of Dike. Sounds like a definite purchase.

There are so many books mind you. I have the Winters biography and the memoirs of David Webster, the latter is a MUST.

Yeah its class. I'm back on Seinfeld yet again! :D
me too, I can count on one hand the tv series I've liked in the past 5 years.

Now I barely watch TV, if I hear good things about a show I'll check it out. only to be hugely dissapointed.:bg:

I'm the same and with Seinfeld I'll come back to it every year or two as it's just perfection. The next thing I've been told to watch is Sons of Anarchy so will give it a bash. There is a lot of rubbish around though particularly the dreadful remake of House of Cards.

I tried watching that too, awful, I suppose if you've never seen the original it might be ok.

Yeah I saw the original a while back then decided to give the US one a try afterwards. It felt so drawn out and dull in comparison with the concise and at the time fresh original. On top of that, whilst Spacey is as always, good; he's no Ian Richardson who I kept comparing him with (which is perhaps a tad unfair I admit).

Three episodes into the first season of The Strain. Like what I've seen so far.

Given up on Z Nation. Terrible show.

Sons Of Anarchy. Just started Season 3, more moving than I imagined a show like this would be. Big fan of that Agent Stahl.
