As Frealaf says, NL has gone downhill due to several posters having constant, pointless spats (one was a WUM, the others just idiots). Let's just say you would've been less happy if it wasn't us promoted.

Presumably the WUM had to be the one that reckoned we paid Alfreton £200k for Akinde..

I'm glad it's not just me that's realised the NL forum has turned to shit.

From what i saw it seemed there were a fair few Halifax fans that were idiots also - if they were anything like what they were in the fa trophy final against Nantwich i can only sympathise

ChrisFGR, RailwayBlue, B2TF and EastleighFan off the top of my head.

It's like it's a spreading disease.

Only ChrisFGR and Sparrow are the real problem with the forum, the rest are pretty harmless.

Them two and that Gtfc fan from early in the season caused me to stop posting, the Gtfc fan realised he was a dick and did the decent thing and left though.

I've seen both over the last few years - I prefer the single threads during the week, but on a matchday, all in one place could be better?

It also seems to be decidedly less busy on here during matchdays because supporters may actually be at matches!
As opposed to supporters of Conference teams not doing so...?!

Threads by mods are created so each game has a thread, so posters and potentially guests that visit the forum can look into the thread and create more traffic for the website. Guests potentially may also sign up on that basis so those threads which may only have a couple of posts on them are doing more than you think. It was tested earlier in the year and the idea successfully brought more traffic through to the website with separate threads for each game throughout the Premier League, Championship, League One and League Two sections.

Fair enough. I won't argue with numbers and figures. I'll leave that to the politicians.

Currently the vote is 60% - 40% in favour of single threads, which is about 30% more for the all in one thread than i was expecting when i started this thread!

I actually quite like the all in one thread - I tend to read all the match day threads (unless they're the Hartlepool/Carlisle or Mansfield/Notts Clownty dick measuring contests) so it just makes it easier. I thought it made for a more inclusive sub forum down in the NL section, although obviously there's a bit more posting going on here so that might make it a bit too busy.

I prefer single threads, but if people decide on an all in one match thread so be it. But whatever happens, there will be an individual match thread for every match involving Carlisle United I can assure you.

I like the individual thread because of moments like seeing the team you dislike concede a last minute goal or something. It's a joy to watch.

You're forgetting that whatever the vote outcome is, it's what the admins want that ultimately matters pal. SFL said that individual threads attract more visitors/more traffic, and if this is indeed the case (and SFL has no reason to make this up so I believe him), then it's hard to argue for a single thread. I think we all want this forum to prosper right?

Yeah of course, the vote was purely for curiosity sake i wasn't expecting that if the vote went in favour of my preferred choice that it would change just like that.
I have no problem with sticking with how it is now, i just thought it was worth asking the question. :)

I'm assuming they'll be calls for a second vote by people who want one matchday thread?
