I'd swap Burton and Wimbledon in that list!
Suppose but these are my personal experiences. Wimbledon its self was nothing special but the day in London was class. We also won due to an injury time goal. Burton was forgettable on the whole.

Fair enough, being a Londoner means that the London factor is not important for me whereas we had to win at Burton to ensure safety on the final day of the season, we brought 1000 and that made it a special away day for me.

In recent years enjoyed Burton, Charlton, Barnsley, Hartlepool + Wimbledon.

Worst for me Wycombe, Gillingham, Scunny, Rochdale

I like walking into the ground and then crying to freak people out.

Been doing that for years, sometimes I get carried away and cant stop crying.

We must have one of the best away ends, can fit huge numbers in and make a racket. Also we have numerous pubs only a few minutes walk down the road.

I know the area isn't the best but you're not coming here to see the local sights are you.

Have to say, I do enjoy Port Vale away. Decent pub within a good distance of the ground that does a decent BBQ sometimes and good beers. One of the few I look forward to.

Do you mean the old farmhouse type one?

Yeah, that's the one. Decent enough boozer but its nice to have a choice.

Notice someone has mentioned Cheltenham as a good away day?? That pub/working mens club is like the jockey from shameless. Awful, not in a rush to go back.

last time I went to Oxford I had a great time.
Few beers in London early doors.
Few beers on the train.
Then had a few beers in Oxford town centre before getting a cab to the pub near the ground.
They had some beer festival on and I had the pleasure of sampling some weird and wonderful beers and ciders.
My mate, unfortunately, did not have such a good time.
In the ground he threw up over a couple of rows in front him which very nearly ended up in tear up, which would not have been much of a contest as he was incapable of standing.
He then missed all but the first 15 minutes of the game as he had locked himself in the toilet and fell asleep.
Most away days are what you make them.

Yes, I was.
For 'near' read 'nearest'.
All I remember to be honest is that it had a fucking big garden with marquees out the back selling odd beer.

Was it by the river in Sanford? Could have been the Kings Arms. Was in there yesterday enjoying the sun

Worst has to be Carlisle, either an open terrace or seats that are closer to the river than the half way line due to the offset stand.

Best; Wembley.

Best:
Shrewsbury at Gay Meadow was always my favourite. Probably York in 2nd.

Worst:
Doncaster by a mile, everything football shouldn't be. Followed by Shrewsbury at New Meadow.

Yeovil is awful. A ground in the middle of an industrial estate with one single chain pub nearby.

Best is us and Rovers because we are in Bristol! :D

Almost put Yeovil in myself, due to it being a ballache to get to from the railway station.

It is however a relatively close game for me, and it has a terrace.

Bristol is a very good away day, looking forward to 15/10

Best: could be any out of Chesterfield, Burton, orient or bury, for the usual reasons, good pubs close to the ground and not in the middle of nowhere.

Worst: Northampton, Oxford (1 pub), York (toilet is an open air brick wall), or Rotherham

Just interested to find out what particularly put you off Rotherham?
Was it the 20 odd pubs town centre (only about 4 are home fans only) and the railway station within 1/2 mile of the stadium.
Or the fact you get an entire covered away end in a new stadium, with dry toilets? :D

Could it be that he is referring to Millmoor, which was shit (no power went I went, though I doubt that would've dulled the shitness), or Don Valley, which is only beaten by the Withdean in Brighton for utter shitfuckery?

Would agree about Don Valley, but the same local facilities (pubs) as today were available at Millmoor, in fact there would have been a few extra pubs as there have been at least 3 or 4 closed down since we left in 2008.
Admittedly the food outlets and toilets left a lot to be desired but it was a great way end for atmosphere and more importantly covered.

It was probably the fans being far too precious.

Yeovil is a shout for a bad one + York for a good one, missed both those.

Yeah I love your away end, went when we played you in the cup a few years ago and the atmosphere was electric, if we play you again anytime soon I'll definitely be going back.

It wasn't the result, or Tom pope scoring the winner ;) it just felt soulless, having to mix with your fans on the way out which led to an inevitable boxing day tear up, probably my least favourite Yorkshire away day!

Best -possibly Fleetwood standing covered terrace, good pub/chippy and bookies just up the road
Worst- MKDons-no pubs near ground, impressive stadium with comfortable seats but its just not football is it? Dishonourable mentions for Stoke and Crewe, just terrible towns and humourless people.
