My grandad was in the résistance during the war along with all the other poles of France. Unlike the cowardly French.

I don't know too much about my family tree. This is the oldest pic I have with my Grandad.

RIP Grandad.

Mr grandad was born in the slums of Manchester in the very early 1900s. He told me once that "the good old days" people talked about were in fact, bloody awful.

I am descended from kings. Well, sort of. My ancestors used to go by the name of Ciderhead De La Toure, and were French aristocrats before having to flee to Belgium to escape the guillotine during the Revolution, dropping the latter part to avoid suspicion.

So yeah, bow before me you little shits

Certainly not. "It is cider! Not cidre" they proclaimed regularly, looking down their noses at everyone.

Alas, the message has become somewhat muddled over the years

My surname is Parr, so I am related to Catherine Parr who outlived that fat prick Henry 8th. Top that!

My ancestor was a bladesmith from York and personally responsible for the death of Henry Percy, 4th Earl of Northumberland.

Not me as I'm also descended from Scots and Irish kings; around 1200 years back!

Is that yon Harry from the comic ?
Never heard of that before tbh mate.

I'm thinking of Henry Percy who would've been the 2nd Earl of Northumberland who was killed in an uprising against Henry IV and whom Tottenham Hotspur incidentally get their name from.

Aye it's a bit ironic they name themselves after one of history's failures and it kind of shows what club Spurs are! :p

Never met my dad's dad. Born 1904, he eventually died, when dad was 7, from after effects of gassing in WW1.

However, he had the great and enviable name of Septimus - he was the 7th child in a big family.
