Go your own way is a classic. My fav off Rumours. Listen, I enjoy both eras of FM, although to be absolutely honest I prefer the Peter Green years, the bluesy stuff. But to say Rumours is shit is a bit ott for me. I guess it all boils down to which was the first Mac album you got, as I can't imagine someone whose first Mac LP was Tusk will say the early Mac were better, and obviously vise versa.
Anyone who can name their album after the President of the EU needs shooting!

I know what you mean Pagnell. Tracks like Songbird and The Chain are much more interesting and demanding, and yet I really appreciate GYOW's simplicity.

Everybody has there own individual opinion and that is what it comes down to. I'm still lost in the late 60's, 70's part of the 80's in the main but fuck....I even like this......

As for overrated artists, Pagnell is spot on with The Stone Roses. One very good album and......... nada. In my book, an artist has got to release much more than one classic album to be considered as one of the greats. I dare say I also agree with Saltire's Beatles shout

Here are some others -
Pink Floyd
Queen
The Clash
The Doors (and Jim Morrison)
New Order

And I seemingly can't make up my mind on whether these two are overrated or not -
Dylan
Elvis P.

Just found a heap of old vinyl LPs from my youth in the loft - jeez what was I thinking when I bought some of them.

Stevie Wonder's Secret Life of Plants - fuck me, that's just atrocious
Yes - Fragile - seemed like a good idea at the time
A whole host of albums by Millie Jackson - which to be fair aren't too bad
Five Bridges by Nice and some philharmonic orchestra

Then there's the good stuff - all the Led Zep albums, Deep Purple's Machine Head, Split by The Groundhogs, all the early Fleetwood Mac stuff when they were a proper blues band, not the fucking awful thing they morphed into with Stevie Nicks et al.

Taste with the brilliant Rory Gallagher, and then his solo albums.

Wonder if Claret 50 still has his Glenn Miller?
No word of a lie I was listening to Split this afternoon. Got bored half way through side 2 though, and changed it over.

I'm also with Dan, including a little bit of hate.

Half the hate comes from the band that was Fleetwood Mac disappearing; Half comes from the caterwauling; The other half comes from the over-produced monstrosity that the band morphed into.

I can listen to and enjoy a wide variety of music but they just grate.

Each to his own. Now how about...

Stevie Ray Vaughan's version was better.
