I haven't been called 'my lad', apart from by my dear old dad, for a very long time.Actually my lad, I'm of mixed nationality, my father is English and my mother Welsh. I also live right on the border, and for years I cheered on all the home countries. The reason I have turned off from England isn't due to me hating England per se, it's more the English FA and their ridiculous politics and fingers in to many pots. I'm here because I love football , and I have an equal joy of good banter. It's not my fault that you seem to have a sense of humour failure. Good effort shouting me down though.
That anti English bile comes across as extremely bitter TBH and it's totally unnecessary. No doubt yourself and most of Wales, plus the Scots will be supporting 'whoever England are playing' ,as usual, even though England have done appreciably better than their nations, as usual.
Bear in mind I wasn't born in England but never have and still don't understand the bitterness towards them, it reeks of jealousy.
By the by, Ross on Wye is a very nice part of the world and I would imagine it's a nice place to live. I used to go water skiing near there in my younger days and spent many a nice summers afternoon / evening in the hostelries near the river.
