I don't think you could consider us a major flop if we finish mid-table because of the ongoing problems off the field, and the average expectations. Based on the signings we have made, some have suggested us finishing in the top 10, which I think is unlikely.

Okay, we have secured Mowbray, and have signed some solid players (Ricketts and Vincelot in particular) but we are very unbalanced. Defence looks solid, but we just look so weak upfront. Amstrong will score goals, but in this league you need goals across the field, and our Midfield won't do that.

SURELY if Sheffield United are ever to get back out of league it has to be this time with Adkins? How long can they stay at this level and consistently get a good budget/squad but fail.

For me this is the weakest League One for years. If I was a Sheff Utd fan, anything but promotion would be a flop.

If we don't get up this season then theres a voodoo on us and we may as well pack up or piss round all the corners of the ground.

Think Burton will flop. I like them and wish them well but I don't get why people rate them ever so highly. It's one of the weakest squads in the league, many would argue Rochdale were similar last season but they had players who'd previously played in the Championship such as Ian Henderson, Matt Done and Stephen Dawson in their side. Burton have Mark Duffy but who else do they really have?

I think we will improve on last season and secure a comfortable mid table position. I suppose for some Scunny fans and some other teams fans that might be considered a flop of a kind. I read on this forum of many opposing team fans expecting us to do well. I think I only saw one, who had us down for relegation. BUT, there have been plenty who have us down for a top 6 finish. Our Chairman has spent some money in the close season or will be doing on wages in an effort to get us up into the top 6. Plus we have plenty of supporters expecting a very good season. I just don't see it in those terms, so in one way it could be argued that I see us flopping from some people's expectations.

We, Chesterfield FC, are going to struggle this season, unless we bring in at the very least Four good players, who are all a improvement of what we currently have. Losing the likes of Gary Roberts, who would go straight into most league 1 sides is a massive loss on the assists and contribution in terms of goals. If there is currently one position we need to fill and fill fast, it is the CM position, someone who can play along side Morsy.

PS.If Morsy did leave, we are 100% in a relegation fight.

There's no Bristol City type team that will piss it. Couple of clubs may be a bit better than the rest but I reckon it's even weaker than last season. There will be a mass of clubs vying for the top 6, as was the case last year.

I think we will be a bit better defensively, bit better in midfield but weaker up front. Could be another decent season.
