Don't think anyone is stealing a wage from us but there's definitely a few that are borderline. Everyone in the squad pulls their weight - some just aren't good enough, not sure that's stealing!

Yeah there is a fair few who aren't very good but I wouldnt go as far as saying they are stealing a wage.

Perhaps Drury could be argued, on a fair wedge I would assume but just not been good enough this year.

Another one who I would argue is Howells, just a bit of a nothing player for me, and if he's playing you know it's because we aren't full strength.

But like I say, harsh to say they are stealing a wage.

Calvin Zola. Came with a decent reputation but has just got injury after injury after injury and I'd imagine he's on a fairly hefty wage too.

I think it was a bad call on our part for signing him, obviously a lot of hindsight involved in that comment, but it was fairly common knowledge that his fitness was having to be carefully managed by Burton during his time there, so he was always going to be risk from that perspective.

One I forgot for us actually. Andy Robinson. Nothing against the guy but he made 2 sub appearances that amounted to about 15 minutes game time in total and has since retired after some personal problems and injuries.

Steve Torpey, our so called assistant manager is definitely stealing a wage, the man does nothing and how he has existed at the club through the changes in management over the past few years is beyond me.

Defence- Marvin McCoy and Femi Ilesanmi, thanks Mr Worthington for signing these absolute no hopers.
Midfield- Lewis Montrose, Lindon Meikle, Anthony Straker- Montrose has done nothing at all for two years and is an absolute plodder. Meikle is what we feared, quick with no end product. Straker- calling all Southend fans, was he crap for you? He looked unplayable for one half this season, but has since been so terrible and is now being heckled by his own fans at Motherwell.

Clear out needed, both by the club and myself.

I always hated him, useless. Some liked him but they were idiots.

Is Femi really that bad? I'd have him back with us in a shot. Unconventional and prone to an error but I liked him. Certainly better than Connors (I've only seen Windowson once so can't really comment on him)

I don't think there's anyone at the club we could accuse of stealing a wage. I suspect Simon Walton is earning more than he merits based on his performances this season so is probably the closest to making the list.

We've seen very little of Calvin Zola and Adam Marriott as both have been unavailable due to injury. Have to say Marriott has impressed when he's played, it's just a shame he's barely featured, looks like he'd be a real asset if he could stay fit.

If you'd asked me last year I'd probably still be typing now!

Zola is the biggest wage thief we've ever had (literally he's 6ft 6!)

As for Bury fans whinging do me a pissing favour. Swear every football team in Greater Manchester (with the welcome exception of Rochdale) is supported by complete and utter whingers who are never happy.

I'd have Flitcroft at the Alex over Davis any day.

I'm probably one of the few with a good word for Femi. He's often looked decent going forward but seems to have no defensive positional sense at all. He's also very inconsistent, having had some decent games but an at least equal number of absolute shockers. Probably ultimately not good enough at this level. I wouldn't say he was stealing a wage, though, very committed. He might get the chance to play at left wing-back tonight which could be a more suitable position for him.

Meikle is an incredibly frustrating player, loads of pace and commitment but no end product whatsoever. I still really like him and wouldn't accuse him of stealing a wage either.

Straker started well and then it all seems to have gone wrong somewhere.

I wonder how these would have got on if we had a reserve team...

As said by the esteemed WILSONTOWN above, he looks competent going forwards but is a defender who doesn't seem to try enough when it comes to defending, often jogging back as the opposition's right full back bombs past him. His positional sense and distribution is iffy. That said, if it was between him or McCoy for who was on our books next season, I'd have Femi as McCoy is far, far worse
