Why Leicester Probably Won't Win The League

While Leicester have been exceptional this season, they've always had their doubters, people who think their bubble will pop at any second, but after a late later Danny Welbeck winner at the Emirates, what would this mean for Leicester?

This may be a good thing, striving them on to not make the same mistake, making them stronger, or it could rattle them, make them frail and take them out of the race. I think Leicester vs Norwich will be the definitive game of Leicesters season, to see how they can cope with such heartbreak, can they comfortably take care of Norwich or will they sit back and let Norwich win?
I personally think Leicester will comfortably win 3-0.

But here's why they won't win the league:
They simply Don't have the legs-
What happens if injuries start coming their way? They've been pretty lucky with injuries as of late but say someone like Robert Huth gets injured, who do they have as backup? Marcin Wasilewski? The guy that gave away the freekick to let Welbz score? They lost Yohan Benalouane to Fiorentina, they have new £5m youngster Daniel Amartey but can he do the job in the big leagues?
What if Jamie Vardy gets a long term injury, who do they have? Ulloa? They lost Kramaric and Joe Dodoo isn't good enough.
They simply do not have the squad depth,

Anyhow, if we don't win the league i'm urging you on Leicester!

Yes but at this stage of the season, the pressure would be getting to them more and more, one key injury and they're fucked.

Most likely not, but there definitely is a chance Leicester could slip up in the last few months of the season and hand the title to either Arsenal or Tottenham. I don't think City have what it takes to win the BPL this season. They've been very weak at the back this season.

Why? That loss against Arsenal was with 10 men and via a last minute goal that can be put down to one man's rash challenge. Ranieri is a canny operator whose man management is clearly very impressive, it won't affect them. They're 2 points clear with Norwich (the football equivalent of a sieve) next up at fortress KP. If they don't win that I'll be TRES surprised.

At the start of the season City were rock solid, then Kompany got injured and it all fell apart at the back. Oatmendi and Demichelis have looked far from a title winning centre back pairing.

You started the season with five clean sheets in a row, you've only had five clean sheets in the 21 games after that...that's weak. 28 goals conceded in those 21 games too.

That's true, but most of those were in the first half of the season still.

Including the FA Cup, (both away to Premier League Clubs, so fair comment IMHO), City have had six clean sheets since Christmas. From the end of the run at the start of the season, until Christmas was 21 games in the League, Cups and CL and had two clean sheets. Six clean sheets in 14 games (even including the Chelsea debacle) since then, seems like an improvement to me.

'The start of the season' is inaccurate, but the worst spell was certainly earlier on and there has definitely been an improvement in the last few months. At least until Leicester....

Since Christmas (and I've removed the aberration of Chelsea here, because it's not a fair representation) in 13 games against Premier League clubs, City have conceded 12 goals. Extrapolate that over a 38 game PL season, that's conceding 35 goals - which would be in the best two, or at a push three, in the division for any of the last five or six seasons. So even with the Leicester and Spurs games, that's not a bad couple of months.

Fortunately Kompany is back now. Spurs was only the second* Premier League goal City have conceded with him in the side all season.
