To be fair i was expecting this to be a 3 or 4 nil tonking that should have been 6/7 as usual.
Glad we got the 3 points. All's we can do is take each game as it comes and at the moment it is working.
Fully expect us to finish in the top two.
Up the tics...

Said this from the start, you should walk the league tbh, although we were more than a matched for you a couple of weeks ago. But one offs don't mean much in the grand scheme of a season.

Think a 2 goal margin was about right. We had other chances to kill the game off but thought that Fleetwood were a threat on the counter and better than the 0 shots on target stat. Some great tackles to deny them getting shots away.

Conditions were awful not surprising that there were a lot of mis controlled touches and sliced kicks. Shame as both sides clearly wanted to pass it about but was scrappy at times. Work rate was immense and that was vital in the conditions.

Nathan Byrne MOTM won every challenge and was great going forward.

Bizarre behaviour from Eastham in the 95th minute randomly headbutted Toney from behind off the ball. Suspect he clearly wanted the Christmas period off and will no doubt get his wish with a 3 match ban on Monday.

If the club asked me to cast my POTY vote tonight I’d probably vote for Nathan Byrne. Been consistently great all season. Paul Cook really is a full back whisperer.

Looks like you're adamant about taking Jack Byrne back in January.

With his inspired form for Oldham, will he have a prominent role to play, or do you see him warming the bench?

To be honest I’ve not got a clue what’s going to happen with him. The problem is right now, it’s hard to see where he gets in our team. Personally, I’d rather him stay at Oldham for the season helping to take points off our rivals, rather than recall him just warm our bench. Gut feeling is that Cook will be thinking the same thing. He’s on a long term contract so there’s no pressure to make a decision on his future.
