I wasn't too sure, I thought it was his euphoric celebration to be honest for the goal that made it 1-1 but I didn't find it offensive myself. Either that or the fucker always scores against us so we just dont like him in general

Leko was getting shit for his WBA links, but it's a bit harsh he's only a kid

Our recent games vs Bristol City at Molineux have all been filled with drama.

Last season Flint had a header that may or may not have crossed the line (can't remember if it should have counted) which Johnson flipped his shit about and ran onto the pitch at the end to have it out with the referee.

The year before our unsporting behaviour came back into the fold when Bristol City kicked the ball out for an injured Wolves player, instead of giving back to them we had an attack which Danny Batth scored the winner. Remember Johnson had a fight with someone back then too.. He is getting quite the repuatation round these parts

There were a few games where Johnson flipped at the ref last season.

Think it was Reading away (one non-pen was given to them, and 2 blatant ones not given for us plus a valid goal ruled out- or something like that) where Johnson sprinted across the whole pitch to confront the referee.

We had something like 7 letters of apology from the FA about referees last season!

Yeah 7 letters, which is frankly ridiculous, in effect the FA are apologising for 1 in 6 games being ruined by referee decisions...

What is truly shocking is that I saw more bad referees just at Citys home games last season than in the last 3-4 years of watching Western League football.

And at that level even the bad ones are consistent.

Really bad when the 9th tier has better referees than the 2nd.

To be expected for Leko though I was surprised your fans recognised him given he's only a youth player. Looked decent didn't he? Very tricky.

Very impressed with Leko, incredibly raw which is to be expected but caused countless problems

Seems so mate, it was strange watching Roofe last season for you as a player who scored so prolifically for Oxford from wherever he was played never really seemed to get into scoring positions, but he's settled in now.

You're a much better side without Sacko as well, not really sure why you resigned him without appointing a manager before.

Bailey Wright gets the ball first, then Danny Batth clatters into him. Never a penalty.
Seen a fan video of the Wright/Batth collision, Wrights got to the ball first and won the header, elbow not at an unnatural height or anything either no penalty as far as that goes.

Also read about an incident it seems from just after (although could have been a different time in the game) due to Batth being down apparently we had the ball in the wolves half, ref blows for head injury and drop ball, wolves don't give the ball back and try to break on us, nice and sporting lads... that's apparently what the touch line incident was about as Macca was livid you guys didn't give the ball back. Same thread on our forum says there was another drop ball where you kicked it into the corner by our box to and put pressure on, like last time we were up there.
Not sure if this is was you meant but a couple of seasons ago Matt Doherty scored as a result of that I think.

As said from the video I saw which was pretty close to it, Wright gets there first and wins the header, if anything Batth takes him out in the air but just comes off worse from the collision. Hand balls happen, don't want to concede one? Don't have your arms raised in the box blocking crosses (which highlights also show our players did appeal for), not reasons to be ***** and be unsporting about giving back drop balls when we're told we don't need to contest it. Tell us to contest it fair enough if you win it but to say we don't need to contest it and play on with it is a proper **** move.

To be honest, I am guessing that our players - during the match a few minutes later - probably hadn't been sat in your lounge watching the replay. Just a guess, mind. The lack of a ball return from Doherty jarred at the time even so, but not exactly surprising given what they had just experiences..as Mark described. I am betting your players would have done the same.

I admit I find it astonishing that all the Bristol City fans are arguing it wasn't a penalty (but there's was deserved) and us Wolves fans are all arguing EXACTLY the other way around. Astonishing coincidence.

I reckon that if we all keep on putting our points of view forward we are all going to change each others' minds. We are clearly all susceptible to recognising our errors of judgement.

On the other hand, who gives a fuck? It was a draw. Ref made mistakes, both teams made chances, six goals scored. Point each. Move on.

How can you possibly think that is a penalty for your lot? Like even with Wolves-tinted glasses on you can't possibly think it's a foul by Wright, surely?

I was wondering that. Tbf, it never takes much. The South Bank still boos Patrick Bamford after he scored against us years ago when we were like in the Southern Premier League or somewhere. :bg:

Yeah sounds like I got the seasons mixed up, just went off what I read somewhere else for the year.
