You're entitled not believe this, but I was standing next to the guy filming it.

It was for a colleagues leaving do and we did the sub-crawl around the Glasgow subway system, stopping for a pint at each station.

I was 17, not long been at the company and had just thrown up shortly before the incident. Alasdair was on his 8-9th pint of Stella before deciding to cross the street...

It was very surreal as it all happened in slow motion. My gut feeling was that he been killed. An ambulance turned up pretty quickly though, gave him a shot of adrenaline then rushed him to the hospital. He was back in the office a week later, complained of a bad headache then was off for another 2 weeks. March 2005 if I remember correctly. He left the company shortly after the event and moved to the Middle East...

Incredible! Well this video was on the front page of Reddit a few days ago, had no idea it was so old but I do vaguely remember that somebody else had posted that he was O.K. and went to hospital as you said.

"This is real, it is some friends of a guy at work. They had a leaving do and decided to do the sub crawl in Glasgow (you have a drink at a pub at each stop on the underground I've done it once, you do get quite drunk). Looks like some of them got very drunk. Here's what one of them said 'For Gordon's leaving day we took on the Glasgow subway challenge of going round the underground and getting off at each stop to go to the nearest pub, get a drink then move on to the next station. It was a great day out until Alasdair decided to play chicken with a bus and got run over on Dumbarton road at 5.00 on a Saturday afternoon (I am not Joking! and to prove it I have attached Neil's video of the accident) He was back at work within a week without any more brain damage than before. My favourite bit about it was the bloke shouting 'for fucks sake'. It's an expression I would only ever use if someone has inconvenienced me. If he'd said 'shit, Ali' or 'fucking hell Ali' i'd get it as your immediate response for an accident but 'for fucks sake' is the bloke realising that his mate being hit means they're going to have to end the drinking session to take him to hospital, or that he's going to have an extra busy week at work now that his colleague will be comatose, or that he's now going to have to iron a shirt for the guys funeral. Selfish Ali.
