I was wondering if you have any young players that have came through your teams youth team, that are notable or highly rated
I'll get the ball rolling with Our 19 year old Forward Adam Mayor

Those will be our four to watch this season. Owen Lunt may get minutes too.

Jayden Clarke, Joe Gbode and Josh Chambers are likely to be our breakthrough kids if any.

Khaleel at Crawley.

He won't start many but he's neat and tidy and breaks forward well. If Lalos could pass yesterday...?

Getting ready for next season already? And we all thought hellogregory was the pessimistic one.

We have five Academy graduates in our squad this season, Harvey Bunker who appeared in a few games last season, spent some time on loan at Scunthorpe and even captained the team in our league game at Wycombe.

The other four are Jack Carter, Zach McKenzie, Finn Bell and Murphy Bennett...all of whom featured in the pre-season friendlies and played OK...McKenzie looked pretty decent and he was on the bench yesterday (plus Bunker who came on as a second half substitute).

We've got a couple of decent young players in Bobby Pointon and Dylan Youmbi. Think both might get some minutes in the Papa Johns thingy or whatever it's called these days.

Sam Taylor young forward. Looked decent in pre-season though due to the number of strikers we have on the books not expecting him to get that much first team action.

We got a couple.

Jordan Davies CM/CAM scored Saturday. Good technically just needs too get on the weights. Although at 24 maybe not that young now

Max Cleworth CB has played a fair bit over the last season. Done really well in general. Might struggle for game time once everybody is fit. Age 20

Jake Bickerstaff - Striker
Looked lively when he came on the weekend. Been called the best finisher at the club but again when Mullin is back and we will bring another forward in, probably won't see much game time

Adam Mayor - nah.

Very average, nothing to see here.

Davies is quality, I'm surprised he's the one who has had to make way for other midfielders. Deffo too old for this thread now though. If you're having him we're having Clifton, Hunt and Glennon.

Not homegrown but after one performance I'm very confident that our new signing Kamil Conteh is one of, if not the, best young players in the division.

Excited to see Matus Holicek this season, I expect him to get much more game time this year, probably mainly off the bench but the boy looks a talent.

Then we have O'Riordan and Tabiner who will be main stays in the team.

We have plenty of youth internationals at the minute which is usually a pretty good sign of decent young players coming through.

Unfortunately for Jordan he got injured last October and lost his place to Elliott Lee, who was one of the standout performers last year. Hopefully he gets things back on track now. Scored a lovely goal versus MKD.

Shadrach Ogie (what a name).
Didn’t come through our ranks, we recently bought him from Orient, but he is only 21 and his debut at Stockport on Saturday was as good a debut as I can remember for many a year.

Does he have to play as an attacking mid or can he do the box to box sort of job as well? Just wondering if him and Lee could be shoehorned into the same team?

Wouldn't have put him here since he was supposed to be on a season-long loan at Rochdale, but County have recalled young midfielder Cody Johnson whom many have high hopes for.

Been a while since I've seen him play but what I remember of him is a very composed, smart and busy little player who didn't put a ball astray. If we've already got enough of an injury crisis in central midfield to necessitate cancelling a big plan for his development, then I'm happy enough to see him get some game time.

Didn't see it but by all accounts Clarke was apparently excellent against Southampton. Plus with Jefferies and Ogie still only being 21, and Coleman 23 we have an incredible young nucleus to build around. He's not ready yet but Matty MacArthur looks like an exciting prospect as well, a bit Dack-esque from the bits and pieces I've seen of him.

Yep, we certainly have an exciting bunch at the minute for sure. Gbode looks a prospect too. Next thing to do which we haven't been so great at over the years is to tie down these young players to decent contracts.

RWB Joe Foulkes who spent the last two seasons on loan at Kidderminster, helped them get promotion last year. In and around the first team now, was excellent against Blackburn in the cup and steady against Stockport yesterday. Still a long way to go for him though.

Also have centre half Harry Williams who we signed from Avlechurch, had trials at Leicester before coming on trial to us. Very composed and good on the ball for a big lad, impressed in both games for a young lad playing his first games in the EFL.

Then we have Ronan Maher, number 10 who has so much energy and skill. Scored his first senior goal at Blackburn in the cup, still only 18 and we're looking to get him a loan move for regular football. For me though I would like to see him around the first team more, let him come off the bench when we're chasing a game. His enthusiasm and drive could be very useful. He probably had the highest ceiling of the three mentioned.

Yes, we'll have McGoldrick, he was a YT player back in the day.

We've got Luther Munakandafa, a forward, Lucien Mahovo, defender and a lad Cisse who's christian name I don't know who's a midfielder and looked very tidy on the ball. None are even making the bench and will probably be loaned out but may make the Checkatrade or whatever it's called this year.
