Picked out a decent bet today, I went for 4 draws in:
Reading v Leeds
Wolves v Hull
Wigan v Doncaster
City v Chelsea
I covered the trebles and the lucky 15, I was tempted to cash out while City were 1-0 up but I thought Chelsea would get one back then I'd get cash out. So that returned £30.
I had another bet of:
Wolfsburg
PSG -2
Under 2.5 in Reading v Leeds
Over 2.5 & BTTS in Palace v Arsenal
Under 2.5 City v Chelsea
£5 returned £91, it was going well, City were 1-0 up so at 80ish minutes I decided to cover and go for over 2.5 at 2/1, and as soon as I pressed 'place bet' it got suspended as City scored. Could have won so much more but still up for the day.
Looking at Tuesday, and there seems to be so many good prices about:
Had Swansea, Peterborough, Middlesbrough, Arsenal, Hibs and Hearts. - £5 returns £179 so paid for the beers this weekend. Had Rose ew in the gold at 40/1 too which returns about £30 profit which I think I will reinvest on this weeks games.
Taken to laying results this season. Smaller gains but less margin for error, hopefully anyway.
Started with £10 and up to £60 since the season kicked off. Being a proper scumbag and only opting for what I consider sure things. Staking £5.71 on Brugge not to win against United, liability of £59.96. Hopefully I can soon build a big enough return not to have to risk my entire kitty on a single punt.
Won again tonight.. Coventry, Burton, Orient and Hartlepool. 10 returned 175. Cashed out at 161 though because Crewe are very unpredictable and thought they might've nicked a draw
Charlton vs Hull - 21/20 QPR vs Rotherham - 3/4 Boro vs Bristol City - 3/5 Bristol Rovers vs Barnet - 10/11 Cambridge vs Crawley - 4/6
Newport vs Orient - 3/4 Notts County vs Accy - 1/1 Pompey vs Morecambe - 8/15 Wycombe vs Daggers 4/7
153/1
Obviously there will be one mess up somewhere, but if you can pick trebles and so on out of that, there's some winners to be had IMO.
Swansea look ok at Sunderland. Swindon, Cambridge, Orient and Luton also.
Conference wise, if Macc defend anything like they did against us (beat them 5-3 on Tuesday), they'll get absolutely mullered by Eastleigh but apart from that, I'm finding it difficult to be too confident on much in the Conference so far this season.
Would have been more pissed off had I had Wrexham and Eastleigh in there, too, which would have had it at 20/1 or so. I took them out because there's usually one of those type of games that'll let you down and Cambridge was the one I was most confident in!
