Can't really say there's been many standouts for me from memory, the little shrewsbury midfielder(woods?) has probably been the best, other mentions to cureton and tubbs, thought stevenage had a decent little forward to, lee is it? Wycombe had Pierre and Jacobsen, other than that nothing stands out. We definitely won't have anyone in it that's for certain.

I wondered how long it would be before GJ was mentioned. About half a sentence as it happens.

Funnily enough Johnson is the opposite of Maloney, shit for you but superb for us. Shame the way it ended but he's still the best manager we've ever had.

I'm still bitter:dis:

This is why footballers shouldn't be trusted with things. McNulty for christ sake.

No matter how good he was up to January, not sure Grimes should be in there as he only played half a season in the league.

Also interesting that Mawson made the Football League short list but isn't in the PFA team.

From a biased point of view, I'd put Leutwiler forward as the goalkeeper, 23 clean sheets and only 29 goals conceded in the league all season. Bentley obviously deserves credit for his own record too. Difficulty in making sweeping statements is we only see most of these players once or twice a season. On the one occasion I saw Bentley he dropped a clanger to gift us a late equaliser. I remember at the time the Southend fans being supportive of him due to the amount of points he'd saved them.

McNulty is a bit of surprise for me, In my opinion he has had a precipitous drop in form from mid season onwards and personally I'd like to see him replaced for next season.

The things he is good at, he is very good at, the things he is bad at are easily exploited though and have become more apparent as the season has gone on.

Cureton should be in that team, guy is a goal machine.

Matty Grimes was an obvious shoo-in. Swansea fans describing him as class after they beat newcastle 3-2.

I think Tubbs is in there for his exploits at Wimbledon more than us, as we haven't got the midfield to serve him.

No surprise to see Wallace in there though. He has carried us at times this season and we'd have been fucked without him.

Surprised about McNulty, personally would have Wilkinson in there ahead of him, but i guess players must hate playing against him.

Isn't it the PFA's the one that are voted on in February? That might explain it as McNulty was actually playing quite well up until about that time.

Up until February, McFatty deserved it. Shame about what happened after that...
