Sawyers is off to Brentford or someone similar in the Championship.
Demetriou will want a move down south as he has been commuting from London.
Bradshaw will be bought by a Championship club.
Rico Henry will probably be bought by a Premier League club.

We were often linked with Demetriou when he was at Orient and still figuring out his best position, so wouldn't be surprised if we moved for him if he is looking for a London club.

I think that Bristol City and MK showed that a pretty large squad upgrade is required to survive in the Championship

But not Preston. MK Dons were seriously weakened and Bristol City tried to change around too much, as far as I can tell.

It is tremendously hard to compete at that level, but survival is not nearly as impossible as everyone makes out. Statistically, you have an excellent chance of going up and staying up for at least a season.

Lot of players out of contract main one being Jimmy Ryan who I suspect is one of a few that would interest L1 clubs, possibly an improving Amarii Bell also.

Other than that I doubt there will be takers for anyone else from this division out of Shola Ameobi, Eggert Jonsson, Stephen Jordan, Antoni Sarcevic and Ashley Hunter, all out of contract. Nathan Pond also but he will probably resign if offered a deal, which you would think he would.

Bit slow on the release list front but then again word was Steven Pressley was leaving us but nothing official, club pretty quiet overall on everything.

Big deal for us could be if Vardy moves on as weve a big kick back resting on that.
I wouldn't mind going in for Sarcevic, he's always looked quite good against us and scores a few goals from midfield which is something that we desperately need. Also wouldn't mind going in for Jimmy Ryan, he used to play for us but was totally wasted under two shit managers and with Alexander now being here it would make sense. Ashley Hunter looked very good against us as well.

Well, if you're happy to watch your team playing the 'Preston way' then go for it.

City improved by dropping the 352.

MK started off shite and stayed shite

Ashley Hunter looked a good player at ours also.

You mean finishing 11th? I'd rather play our way than play the "MK Dons way" and go straight back down.

It's hard educating these 'total football' fanatics.

Well, we have 6 players going alongside the two players letting their contract run down

GK: Ted Smith

DF: Ben Coker, John White, Adam Thompson, Adam Barrett, Luke O'Neill,

MD: Ryan Leonard, Michael Timlin, Will Atkinson, Jack Bridge, Anthony Wordsworth, Stephen McLaughlin

FW: David Mooney

We need serious re-inforcements. One or two considering new contracts. Only included those first teams under contract above.

Swindon have had £150,000 bid for Moncur rejected, that's us not getting him either. We aren't gonna shell out that much.

Think that was Charlton, not us. Got a feeling we may go to £250,000 but Moncur may be holding out to see whether Barnsley get promoted.

I.E. Smashing gutless, tippy tappy sides 4-0 at Wembley?

Ah right sorry, either way it's a value we won't match what's a shame as he's obviously a class act. Think he could really make a difference to any team in this league.

If that's the price then we have to be interested with the potential Dack money to come.

Or smashing them 3-0 at home with them doing some fucked up Goal kick routine as their keeper refused to kick long.

Wigan beat them 4-0 the other month with them doing the exact same thing, but hey some of Swindon's quick passes into Will Grigg's feet were sublime.

Didn't think MK Dons were that skint they wouldn't be able to throw £150,000 at a player? Think Moncurr will end up at Barnsley wether thats in League One or the Championship.

They're still persisting with that Goal kick?

Against Wigan they were, yes, was laughable. Don't think they got of their half for 80 minutes of the game.

I imagine we could pay £150,000 but it's going to cost more than that as that's an amount they've already rejected. And more than that is something I doubt we can afford.

I'd love to see us go in for Moncur, I imagine we could afford it and we've been missing a goalscoring midfielder for years. Our CM's only contributed to 1 goal last season.

It was us.

In the local rag this morning that we are preparing to increase our bid. Interested to know who is making these decisions when the new manager is supposedly in charge of all team affairs when he comes in.
