Does that line at the top of the forum slightly irk anyone else? ‘Old Division 2’, surely it’s the old third division if anything?

It's a disgraceful rule and we are disgrace for taking advantage of it.

Embarrassing.

It’s not been… Easy. Finding a site isn’t easy in a place like Oxfordshire.

The opposing group rally well, spreading mistruths and generally causing distrust among residents. They appear well versed in adopting tactics to delay, provoke and distract.

Happily much of the stuff has been challenged effectively. A few of the opposers on Twitter have been politely addressed, subsequently snapped and comments like ‘I don’t want any football fans anywhere near’ has been commonplace, sadly.

This is going to be pretty close to Oxford Parkway isn’t it?

Handy for when we get that East West rail link from Bletchley. :)

Yes assuming it goes ahead. Pedestrian bridges will be built to create a direct path between the 2 so should be a 10/15 minutes walk.

It won’t affect me personally (living in London) but travel by train has always been a nightmare for MK based Dons fans heading West and East. All those trips to yourselves, Swindon, Reading and Bristol etc. heading west and Posh, Cambridge, Ipswich etc. heading east, should now be a lot easier. That’ll make a significant difference to the youngsters. We might even start to take respectable numbers!

Better if you want to go into the City Centre before or after as well as the Kassam Stadium.

in Bolton’s local paper today they have a space filling article asking “Are Wigan Bolton’s true rivals”

Probably in the mind of the bloke who kicked the gate open when they played each other.

The article was wrote by a journalist who does not support either club

What do Lincoln fans think of this?

Article suggests opinion has been divided so either way someone will be upset.

I presume it's not an April Fools..

What a load of old bollocks. People get so wound up over trivialities nowadays. Of course people are anti the war in Ukraine but playing the dambusters march or an air raid siren at an English football match has absolutly jack shit effect on what happens over there.

If you have got to write an article in the local paper in order to try and create a rivalry i suggest there isn't one.
Mark Iles is a terrible journalists pedalling untruths and lies to support whatever angle he is looking for on a story.

Jordan Storey became our 22nd different scorer for the season yesterday, I thought that may have been a club record but apparently we've done it twice in the last decade.

Any of lot shared the goals about like us

Share the goals around? SHARE the goals around!?

We’re lucky if we see one let alone score it ourselves.

You don’t know you’re born!

(But yeah that’s a pretty great stat).

Not sure how many other Clubs have, or intend to have, a Golden Share in the Club but we've started the process to create one.

Yeah, we've talked about a golden share to protect the Abbey stadium now that we've bought it back from developers.

Is that where supporters hold a share in the club’s company?

There’s a PLC which has a 45 page long list of supporters which holds a 12.5% shareholding in the main club company. Looking back I think it did own 100% before Marcus Evans bought into the club around 2007/8. It was set up in 2003 roughly around the time we were in administration so would make sense if the supporters did do that but I’m not completely sure.

No, the golden share is where the fans have a right to veto changing club names, colours etc. It is a recommendation from the government led review by Tracey Crouch

Someone may correct me, but I think our supporters trust insisted on one before selling up to the Eisners back in 2017.

The idea is to prevent such nonsense as the Hull City owners trying to change the name to Hull Tigers, or the Cardiff owner wanting to bin decades of history by changing the home kit from blue to red.

Change to the rule on subs for next season now allowing seven to be named and five to be used. Personally am ambivalent about it but seems this has been done to cater to some of the big budget clubs in the Championship.
