I'd say Mansfield are safe, but you need one win and one draw yet, a freak set of results on Monday could change all that though

Well we are at home to Shrewsbury. So no points there.

We really are the worst team in this league. That today was utterly atrocious, to put in that kind of performance after such a good start was abysmal.

This shower of shite won't win again this season. Maybe a Johnson or a Moore could get something out of this shite squad, but Curle just isn't good enough.

Thankfully he'll be gone in the summer.

I still think Carlisle will get 6 points off daggers and accy , that Cambridge - Mansfield game coming up could take on a whole new perspective. At the moment on Monday Carlisle Hartlepool and Tranmere could all Win lose or draw , I wouldn't attempt a 3 fold bet on them

We won't, absolutely no chance.
If we do I'll give you £50.

What reaction was that mate?

Gary Johnson came on to the pitch and gathered all their players in the center circle for about 2 minutes before they went and applauded their fans, all of whom had stayed to watch.

Well, that looks like the end for us barring an unbelievable turnaround. Our final 6 games include Shrewsbury and Stevenage at home and Wycombe and Northampton away - can't see us getting a single point from those. I'll keep hoping until the end but today was our best chance to get some points on the board and we've blown it.

If you do win them both spend yer £50 on a nice bottle of something and toast a job well done.....Carlisle have a chance to kill off Relegation worries in 2 games, I wish they were our fixtures

Unfortunately it does look as if that's it for you, but you can't say you never saw it coming, Pools acted 10 games or so too late getting Ronnie in, we would be well clear by now if he had had 2 months more, surely Gary Johnson was an appointment made with very much an eye on next season, that if nothing else, should give you a little hope for the future

Yeah because you'd win our fixtures, because your team isn't shit anymore.

Just think how bad you were a few months ago, well we're now worse.

And we're bad enough to still hand you a point. I feel sorry for all those who travelled all that way for that suckerpunch today.

Don't normally go along with the " we are doomed" lines peddled by fans of clubs towards the end of a season, they are barely right. However I just don't think Cheltenham have enough quality to survive. While I still think getting rid of Yates was probably one of the worst decision the club has ever made I think I'm right in saying he was responsible in letting the likes of Penn and Lowe go which was just plain wrong, don't see anything in the Cheltenham team even close. Sorry guy but on this one I think I actually agree with you.

You weren't bad, we were just very lucky today. You should have been 4-1 up by then.

At 2-1 today I actually agreed with hellogregory's views, that was a pathetic performance. The fact we managed to get a point is quite miraculous, but something needs sorted.

What pissed me off the most was Curle at full time, turned to the main stand with his arms out wide as if he won us that game. Twat.

They seemed to be fairly happy, you could tell the result didn't mean all that much to them, they were just having a good time, even when 1-0 down, they were singing and banging drums and ringing that fucking bell.

Portsmouth were actually pretty good today I thought, take that with a pinch of salt because I'm comparing you to ourselves, but you looked dangerous on the attack, especially down the wings. You were robbed for sure, I don't know whether your disallowed goal should have stood but our equaliser came in the fifth of four minutes of injury time. I think the ref must've wanted us to equalise, either that or he forgot all about his watch.

That we're going to be relegated?
I'm surprised so many fans think we'll stay up, especially when we can't buy a home win.

I've never been more certain on a team for relegation. If Cheltenham manage to finish below us then they have to go down as the worst ever football league team.

Well we're on 42 points at the moment. Cheltenham are on 37 and looking at their run-in and their form they'd do well to even get to 42. They'd need 5 points from 6 games and there are are only a couple of those I see them having a chance to get anything from.

Yeah. We looked so hopeless, just hoofing it up to nobody, and Pompey were playing us off the park. Thankfully we got the equaliser and Tranmere and Hartlepool only drew too. Even if we stay up I now think we should get rid of Curle, clueless when it comes to tactics.

Poor old Cheltenham, doesn't matter if you have Jose Mourinho if you have a bunch of players that are totally beat and not up to the job.

Interesting set of results to keep us ticking over to Monday. Cambridge are doing their best to properly get embroiled in this.

Well, we are worse than all of you, and we are definitely going down as the manager won't walk, the chairman won't sack him, and they're both quite happy to blame the fans rather than look a bit closer to home.

Thanks for letting us in for a year, I don't think we'll be back.

Look, I know you all want to be the worst so let's just say you're all shit. None of you would be still embroiled in this now if you were half decent. It could go any way because I don't see anything from Cheltenham, Carlisle, Tranmere, York and Cambridge that suggests they're going to ease away. Hartlepool have probably gained enough confidence of late to survive now.

I actually think Cheltenham's next 3 fixtures are winnable. Stevenage are jekyll and hyde, Wycombe at home aren't as good as Wycombe away plus some nerves may kick in and Cambridge are throwing their league position away. If they want any chance of survival, they need 6 points from them.

You'd still need to suffer some tremendously bad fortune to go down. York and Hartlepool may well overtake you (I think they will) but you'd then still require two from Carlisle (2 points behind you), Tranmere (5 points behind you) and Cheltenham (7 points behind you) to also overtake you to leave you in the bottom two. It seems unlikely that any of those three teams could do that (although granted we only need to get a win somehow, however jammy), and then the big one, you have Cheltenham to pay and will surely be heavy favourites to win that one, which would surely end any chance Cheltenham have of overtaking you and adding three to the number of points Carlisle or Tranmere have to gain to overtake you. Not gonna happen... and I've completely ruled out the possibility of York or Hartlepool faltering in their escapes, but either of those is possible.

I've just looked at Cheltenham's fixtures. Their next 2 home matches are winnable so we could still finish bottom.

To be fair he was celebrating a goal. We all reflected on the game as we left the stadium and decided that we'd been shite for 70 minutes and had no reason to be happy about the day, just a bit of relief that we got lucky and things didn't end up as bad as they could have been; but you're not thinking that at the time.

It just made him look like a clown, especially when his tactics were wrong all game and fans were booing him in the second half. Dunno what he's doing to 'fire up' the players all week, half of them look uninterested. Or they're just shit?
