It could have been 8-1.

Guiseley will finish above us.

Quite a physical encounter today v Southport who worked hard. Four weeks ago we would have caved in and lost. Walton has given us a physical presence in front of the back four and his fitness is improving with every game.
Not Hyltons day today but he put a shift in and his pace was a threat, needs match fitness. Cassidy scored a cracking twenty yarder into the top far corner from the corner of the box after being fed a perfect pass from Hylton. Nice to have Rankine and Boyes to come off the bench and create the winning goal between them.
We have a decent squad to choose from once the walking wounded return.
Big test next week at Lincoln in the cup, not sure we are quite ready for it yet but it'll be a break from the pressure of our league position.

Great 3 points. Eastleigh fans if you can't take a bit of banter don't give it out. The adults amongst the 12 year old ultras a complete embarrassment. It was an even game nothing between the two teams, we hit woodwork twice as well as scoring. Hope to never go back to that money pit again, good luck in the Ryman come 2018.

Sounds like we had a few knobs of our own in the crowd after some of the stuff I've read about a young disabled Eastleigh fan being abused.

Your wrong as were the Eastleigh fans who have posted all that nonsense. There was a song sung about a spastic (certainly not condoning that) and the eastleigh fans thought it was about the young kid, it wasn't the lads singing it never even knew he was there and it all escalated from there.

But before that an Eastleigh fan came towards the daggers section wanting a ruck and stewards did nothing and it all went off.

The stewarding was an embarrassment, good forbid if they played someone who took 500+. They might have moved forward on the pitch but the rest certainly has not. Why they never insisted putting us all in the terrace I don't know.

Fans were shaking hands at the end but then the stewards came rushing in like there was a riot. Pathetic.

Just the 38 points to go to secure your christmas double header against us next season!

Next season? We'll be in Conference South and you'll be in administration.

Was thinking three nil was a bit flattering as Ferriby certainly competed but really that was a pretty professional win with as usual just the odd scare caused by playing it out from the back and cocking up. Having tried the more clever approach play Clough's header for the.second was very straightforward. Frear did well late too, unlucky to hit the post but nice to see the rebound dispatched.
Friendly club, enjoyed my day out.
ETA Whoever said above about Ferriby lacking a finish seems right

Why is it whenever there's criticism of rival suppprters someone always claims they were targeting a disabled person?

Was Crazy Imp there? He likes calling people a 'retard' as we have experienced on this VERY forum.

Well, if dickheads are going to sing about "spastics" then it's probable that they were. Either that or they are just c***.

You might not be if you get to the FA Cup Third Round.

You are either on a wind up or deluded. There is no way we are spending significantly more than we did last season and even if our budget is a bit higher than last season our gates are up by around 20% (2000+ average this season vs 1600 last season).

Fair enough on this occasion if they were singing that it just seems to be something overused by a lot people.

Fair enough. However, supporters singing about a 'spastic' is disgusting enough behaviour for me. What is it with football supporters these days?

Totally agree. It seems like people think it's perfectly acceptable to use ignorant, ableist language. I'm rough as fuck but even I understand the connotations associated with terms like "****" and "retard". I'm not sure why this is still deemed ok.

With us playing tomorrow, I popped down to Gander Green Lane to catch up with my Sutton pals (cheers for the company Jared). A very good game from a local perspective, but goodness Woeking were woeful.

Don't blame it on the pitch, our delicate flower ladies cope with it very well.

Has he left the forum?

No idea, hadn't noticed. If he has, then at least he's finally taken up his word after announcing at every opportunity last season that he is far too good AND clever for this forum would be leaving this season.

This is Guiseley's bar shortly before kick-off. Amazing scenes.

I thought Wayne Rooney was on England duty...bit of a waste of an advert really that being the case

BT need to stop showing Conference games, it's embarrassing that the nation is seeing how bad this league is. The less exposure the better, frankly, and we can keep banging on about how there's this 'bottleneck' of quality between here and L2.

I do kind of get that, as it was a terrible advert for the league wasn't it. Until the defensive cock up, it did have another 0-0 written all over it didn't it. A case of two managers intent on not losing as opposed to going out and trying to win.

Also, even though am a great admirer of him, Mcnulty genuinely seems to put on more weight every time I see him. He gut was literally wobbling.

Do think Wrexham may have a new manager this time next week. It was that drab

First game I've missed all season, and what a decision not joining my usual travelling companions proved to be as by all accounts, and the scoreline we were awful again with Gateshead thoroughly deserving the points, and courtesy of Jones fluffing his lines from the penalty spot it could have been ten goals shipped in two away games.

Though when fit we have a starting eleven that can match and beat any side in the league, we have been saying since the summer that the squad is worryingly small and very thin on quality, and for once, and it rarely happens, Kinnear's tactics and selections are being questioned, and not before time.

No-one is suggesting we get rid or anything absurd like that, but Jesus Chris, this, by any used definition, is simply not good enough.

Other than some kids, who he'll never start, we only signed three players in the summer, to replace the 8 (yes that's eight, that left) both of those the management knew, suggesting his contacts book is waifer slim.
Worse I guess, we sign two loan players and even in this real injury crisis put both on the bench yesterday. One of those a CH from Eastleigh who from all accounts is decent enough, has yet to never start, preferring instead to give a seasonal starting debut to our fitness coach. Chris, what the hell are you thinking of?

Can't normally knock our individual or collective effort, in fact it's the mainstay for our perennial over achieving, but there are a few players who clearly are not good enough, and though, in October it's intolerably hard, we desperately need three or four new additions, not just to address what my son called a total embarrassment but to replace those players the boss lost in the summer.

Out tactics, if that's what you call them are now known to all, and while they can still be effective because of the aforementioned work ethos we normally have, every team now knows what they are, what we will do and how to combat them.
Some Whites supporters use words like Wily and shrewd to describe our boss, but I am having none of it. He plays the same way, game in game out, and regardless of scoreline or circumstances rarely changes. Forget plan B, now managers appear to have sussed us, people are now questioning plan A !

Dreadful result, dreadful defending, dreadful performance and if CK doesn't for once take responsibility, and unlike last week, where he suggested it was the players fault and one hopefully they (not him) will learn from, I will go ballistic.

The FA cup next week, now becomes not only a huge game, but for our season a pivotal one. Dear oh bloody dear!

Singing a song about spastics ? Unacceptable behaviour. Only the lowest common denominator would indulge in that. I've wiped better from the sole of my shoe!
