Carlisle have to get past the Barrow vs Tranmere Cup rivalry first.

I half wanted tranmere to stop up tbh, their fans are challenging haha

You've a good memory:).

Hope there are no last minute glitches, it will be good to have Barrow back in the FL.

Absolutely can’t wait for our “derby” and the 3 hour pacer train journey touring all the hidden away shit holes of West Cumbria.

Hello League 2!
We're planning to stick around for more than 12 months and expect to form rivalries with every club that gets linked with poaching our manager (currently it's Bolton). Looking forward to some close fixtures and our not-really-a-rivalry rivalry with Carlisle - last time I was there they had Jansen, Dobie and Delap all playing.

I can see there are some 'characters' in this forum too.

Not looking forward to playing barrow next season. Its bad enough having to play forest green. It's starting to feel uncomfortably tinpot in this league.

Sounds like we only have to worry about finishing 23rd next year if Carlisle are as shit as Hello Gregory suggests.

We have a good manager now so I expect us to be a bit higher than 24th.

Last season we started the season off with that Scottish fucktard and allowed him to build a squad. At one point it was looking like costing us our league status, thankfully we fired him just in time.

You’ll be in League 1 next season so no need to worry. This is finally your year in the playoffs.

Well Done Barrow - The signs were there last season when we played you twice that Evatt knew what he was doing, the question was - Did he have the right players to do it? Well in the end he did.

I remember in April 2018 when we beat you 4-1 and you was very lucky to stay up after Woking failed to beat Dover on the last day and you lost to Chester.

I thought you were an awful side tbh, just long throws and long balls which in the main we dealt with. Dan Jones got sent off, the long throw went and we ran out easy winners.

A few months later we drew 2-2 and you were a completely different side under Evatt, a passing team with a real attacking intent, I sensed there was something in that team.

Well done.

Connor Brown, discuss.
our 3rd choice wing back behind Josh Kay and Brad Barry. Decent player - always puts 100% in and can play on both sides of the pitch. Will wait to see our retained list before saying any more...

I never thought I’d see the day when Barrow were back in the league.

Absolutely correct. We somehow managed to scrape it. That summer we announced a massive budget cut so we thought we were doomed to the Glue Leagues. Evatt came in, our "moneybags American/Barrovian owner" handed over to a consortium of local businessmen and the rest is apparently now history.

Congratulations Barrow! Any excuse now to bring up the 4-3 from a couple of years back :bg:

In all seriousness well done and look forward to playing each other next season.

Ah yes the AGM cup. Brings back fond memories.

Bet NL fans are overjoyed at getting an away day at King's Lynn instead of York....

I went to King's Lynn this season and it was a fabulous 4 days and probably our two games against KL were the best we played this season. B & B in London Road, Peterborough and time spent touring the Fens. Loved it.

Does Barrow need to do anything to the stadium to meet the grade or is it okay.

Well the voting papers didn't go out yesterday, the votes delayed, it's all kicking off over the are NLN/NLS "Elite" leagues and as the National League hasn't made a comment nobody knows what the hell is going on... so time for the EFL/FA to intervene and just invite us to be members and give the NL a Friday deadline ultimatum to sort the mess out or there will be no 2nd promotion place this season or ever....

I'm really quite excited for you guys getting back into the football league. It gives me hope that we might achieve it before the fat lady sings.

it's ok - and we've just build a fanzone building at the home end and are just starting to put a roof on the Holker Street end which is due to finish in August - but that wasn't needed to get in the EFL

At least they’ve done it properly though and not through inflated finances (and I appreciate that’s how mansfield did it too)

In a roundabout way your ground is that catastrophically shit it’s actually good.

Proper older style dilapidated dump, give me one of those over an identikit stadium any day

Isn't Barrow proudly really Lancashire? Congratulations anyway, I always enjoyed the trip.
Don't know which side of the fence our own Barra fans fall on but I've met Barrovians who argue for either way. Younger generations (at this point, anyone under the age of 50) have only ever known Barrow as part of Cumbria, before then it was a detached part of Lancashire, but Cumbria wasn't invented by a committee of civil servants in the seventies as some of the killjoys who take umbrance with any mention of the place will pompously argue, it was always the term to describe Cumberland, Westmorland and Furness, and the Cumbrian Mountains extend into all three. Before that it was an independent kingdom.
