Which is exactly why not one of the teams raised their voice (Tom apart) about us unfairly losing a life. All we got was sarcastic comments. Now you've had something not go your way and you throw a total strop, and threaten Rammy with a big fuck off tablet after all his hard work.

right, we 'won' the toss and had to go first. That put us at a disadvantage, yes we complained but we got on with it. You then complained and Rammy changed the rules, we were obviously reluctant to choose another letter given how easy you had gotten the last one. That's completely different to you still refusing to pick a letter through your subsequent guesses, we did eventually bite the bullet and opt for a new letter. Still you kept on randomly guessing.

Rammy made an error, it happens. He's now tried offering a solution. We are still at a disadvantage but willing to take the solution to speed the game up and have the remainder played in the manner its intended. You lose nothing, NOTHING, from.the rule change. You're still winning 2-0. I am not willing to go back into this game where its a pointless exercise of guessing from any number of possible linked words, which it is atm.

seriously, what is your issue with the rule change?

and agreed Stagat, Rammy has put a hell of a lot into running this and its a shame it keeps descending into this. My gripe is not with Rammy, and despite my frustrations with the other team right now I'm grateful for the effort he's put in. So far its been very good and enjoyable (with last night an exception haha)

As an outsider, albeit one with experience of running a game on here, this is my take on this current impasse:

(a) a simple oversight in the laying down of the rules from a guy who has put a hell of a lot more into the running of this than anyone will ever put into playing it has turned it into a whole horrible nest of moaning, which I don't think anyone signed up for. If anyone thinks that's the thanks Rammy deserves for this so far, then carry on.

(b) How old are we all? And how important is this round of this game really, in the grand scheme of things? Specifically, from what I've seen, Mike and Veggie have always got on in my eyes, and been good (team)mates on here. Don't you lads be bitching to each other and be building any bad feeling over this. <now dragging you both separately away saying it ain't worth it mate>

(c) It's not even about this round only. Every round you've played so far has been building to this. Someone (Mike?) said they were gonna quit? And throw away every other effort you've put into previous rounds? Mate, let Rammy make a decision on his, accept it, and move on. There's no elimination after this round, is there? Make up for it next round. Don't get bitter, get better.

Seriously, this whole game is bigger than this round. Some team might be eliminated because of an honest mistake by Rammy, but who cares. He's earned enough credit by running the thing to make up for that. Thank him for even putting you in the position to be wronged and, if you're out, be big enough to wish the other players luck as you go.

Would just like to clarify that there is absolutely no bad feeling between myself and Veggie. As far as I'm concerned, we were just discussing the ins and ours if the fiasco, fairly and maturely.

On your second point though, my taking part in this game and whether I continue to is entirely up to me. If I feel my heart is no longer in it because one team isn't prepared to compromise (see one of my previous posts), then quite frankly I will remove myself from the game. I've put a lot of effort in to keep my team in this thing but the truth is that, with two games until the next elimination, this could have a huge bearing on whether we progress or not. I really don't see the other team's issue with the proposed rule change.

as said previously I ain't going to bother if its just randomly guessing words or put yourself at a disadvantage by opting for another letter. Theres no element of skill or tactics involved and its not being played how Rammy intended or (i believe) any of us would have wanted it playing before the start. It'll take ages and quite frankly I have far better things to be doing, as I'm sure most of my team, yours and Rammy do. Anyway, that's my last word on it.

Our game is being played under the original rules. Because of 5 guys refusing, our game also stayed as it was.

Seemingly a good night to miss anyway. I've finally sat down and read it all rather than bits here and there.

I get why Mike is aggrieved, and having read through it's annoying, but I do feel threatening to withdraw over it is a bit OTT. I'd feel it'd be unfair to Rammy, especially, with all the hard work he's put in to it. Mike has, however, been our key player. I try to be around as much as I can but work/life does get in the way for me. Bish goes through phases. Lemon is often around but the 'quiet' one and blade is probably second only to Mike. Mike has dragged us through a lot and I guess this feels more like a kick in the nuts to him than it would to most due to that. It'd be a shame, not just for us as a team, but for the game to lose him.

To be fair to Five Guys, they're just capitalising on a loophole, fair enough. Most would in their position I'm sure but what I don't get is the shittyness. Some members incredibly shitty, and why they're holding the PYCR thing against us as a team. Lemon noticed a mistake, so raised the question to Rammy who then went back and checked it. In the same situation, I'm sure any of their team members would have done the same. But hey, that's their prerogative.

At the end of the day, it's just a bit of fun. Yes we all get in to these and we have our moans and groans but this has got silly. Rammy deserves more from us as all players with all the work he's put in. Whatever he says, if he says anything, we (all of us as teams) should just go with and get on with it and not let things get to this level of spoilt again.

We knew we could just keep guessing words and suffocating the game. It was very briefly mentioned early on in the game in our PM. When we asked for a letter to make it up to 'da' and the other guys guessed at Dalmatian we took it because that's part of the game. The fact that your board had an easy word first is irrelevant. They could still have guessed wrong.

I suppose people are going to be irritated if the product itself isn't as good as previously experienced. Again, no offence Rammy. I'm just being brutally honest here with what I can see.

Well I'm glad I've been away from the internet for the past 24+ hours and I'd avise that others do it too. Secondly I enjoyed reading through the current game PM and that's not just because my team have a healthy lead going into tomorrow. I enjoyed the game in survivor and am enjoying it now, even with the rules alteration. It's not a FFF game, which this forum game has featured a lot of with it being gameshow themed and gameshows usually reward the quickest. Those games handicap me to the point that I can't contribute anything worthwile with my internet, just a few jokey answers here and there while I watch questions that I know the answers to getting answered and hoping that one of my J5 teammates post first. This hasn't made me want to quit the game because I'm at a disadvantage, as even though it's only a forum game, real life Jimmy is putting a lot of time and effort into running this and so I'll continue to contribute when I can. Plus a single game doesn't define your overall position in the table.

IMO apart from The Price Is Right, everything has run smoothly IMO, and massive Kudos to Rammy for taking the time outdoor run this.

There isn't a problem as such with this current game, just the rules aren't exactly the same as in LR's game, and one team out of 4 have taken umbrage to this.

Anyway, my motivation for this game has gone. But I guess we should get it finished.



As for tonight...

Unless Five Guys agree to changing the rules, then we carry on as we were on Friday night. However...

There is now a time limit of 15 minutes between turns (up to three 5 minute grace periods after this limit), and games must finish by 11pm (if we are still going by that time though, Jesus Christ). If a semi final has not yet been decided, then the leading team will progress. If it’s a draw, then a tiebreak will determine who makes the final.
