    Stickied League 2 Transfer Rumours/Confirmed Transfers 2024/25

No great surprise Greeny to Imps. Good signing for them IMO. I would expect him to bag 20 goals there as he will be first choice every game if fit.

    Stickied League 2 Transfer Rumours/Confirmed Transfers 2024/25

Welcome to the forum Yella. Certainly plenty of reasons to be optimistic. Let's just hope it's not misplaced optimism and all of this new found positivity comes to fruition next spring. We've not achieved anything yet!

    Stickied League 2 Transfer Rumours/Confirmed Transfers 2024/25

Decent signing for you IMO. Will play in front of the back four and can be fairly solid. Other Stags fans may disagree but I think he should help you consolidate at this level.

Thanks for that GRH. Didn't expect to win! Orient got me 23 points as well. I predicted them top!

    Mansfield v Luton

Massive game against massive opposition. Massive manager. Everything about this game is massive.

    Wycombe v Mansfield

Massive game for both sides. Realistically we need a win to keep our play-off hopes alive. Any Stags fan will agree, our problem is the lack of clinical finishing. We've only scored 19 away from home all season, lowest in the division. Wycombe have a good defensive record at home, only conceding...

    Mansfield vs Exeter

Think we got what we deserved in the end. Exeter were there for the taking but once again we didn't take our chances. It's obvious we are lacking a striker with that clinical edge. Stupid challenge in the last seconds for the pen, the weak ref was always going to give it whether it was genuine...

No Goals Scored in 4 v No Goals Scored in 5 (Mansfield v Carlisle)

You may see them on the highlights. There were a couple of chances in both halves. From BBC website: "Shaun Miller and Jamie Proctor both went close for Carlisle...."

No Goals Scored in 4 v No Goals Scored in 5 (Mansfield v Carlisle)

Fairly comfortable win in the end, once we broke our goal drought. Not dissimilar to the previous home game apart from us taking two of the numerous chances. Don't think it's true to say Carlisle didn't have chances, they just weren't clinical, unlike Plymouth who basically had two chances and...

International fixture - Mansfield vs Newport.

Jury still out for me. Scored a cracking goal not long back so seems to have the ability. He's not starting all games ATM. Time will tell I suppose.

International fixture - Mansfield vs Newport.

If Newport employ similar tactics as Stanley did recently, you may well get your wish of a scrappy, nasty 1-1 draw. We didn't cope too well with the endless feigning injury etc and we may need to fight fire with fire, although we are not too good at it! Need stronger officials methinks.

Cod v Venison (Grimsby v Mansfield)

The unbeaten run had to end sometime I suppose. Still in the play-off spot so put this down to experience and move on. Shipping too many goals now for some reason after not conceding at all for previous 4 games before Accy. Some work to do for Evans.

Cod v Venison (Grimsby v Mansfield)

Grimsby in relatively poor form with no win in last 4, Stags in very good form (if you discount Tuesday's bizarre 4-4 draw against Stanley) still unbeaten in 2017. Nailed-on home win then. Accy had scored 1 in their last 8 away games I believe. Anything could happen here, hope it's a good atmos...

    Stags v Stanley

As mentioned previously, I can't understand why Stanley employ the cheating tactics. When they actually play football they look very good and have some tricky, quick players. They were obviously instructed to press and they did it well. We never had any time on the ball. I suppose when you press...

The Carlisle United f**ked it up Official Promotion Thread

I can't help thinking Carlisle will put a good run together at some point. Curle is a good manager and will find that little bit extra when needed. For this reason I think 3rd place will be a bridge too far for us. If we are to get promoted, it will be through the lottery of the play-offs. The...

    Stags v Stanley

Accy are a bit of a 'bogey' team for us, we never seem to beat them. Not sure of the stats but I think our record against them is pretty dire. Having said that, recent form points to a solid home win. I know the run has to end sometime but there are no signs of that at the moment. 2-0 Stags.
