No doubt about it, Grimsby fans priority should be supporting the team.

i used to think clements was quality but after seeing Whiteman and Byrom i can see i was wrong, we have a proper midfield now hopefully we'll be back to our best.

we beat cambridge and barnet away and didn't play that well so if things work we'll get a result. Tough game COYS!

Had to happen didn't it, a scruffy goal like that doesn't change anybody's opinion on him though youth.

Pretty scrappy first half with nothing in it really, formation is letting Mansfield down Green is isolated up top and Whiteman not got in the game at all.

Evans hates us and his record against us (I would guess, can't be arsed checking) is crap. Had to be Clements, didn't it?! Hell will freeze over before you lot win at Blundell Park.

Just like how we never beat Stanley too!

Seriously though two games on trot where Defense and Keeper have been abysmal, suddenly we have conceded at least 7 in two games, no idea what is happening.

Big win for Grimsby though, don't think you'll make play-off but this keeps it open for you.

Yep agreed, still back to back to back wins from here would be nice to keep it a bit entertaining. Don't think we're close to being playoff ready, but tbh it's gonna be quite nice not being in them this season! Wtf has happened to your defence, though?!

The unbeaten run had to end sometime I suppose. Still in the play-off spot so put this down to experience and move on. Shipping too many goals now for some reason after not conceding at all for previous 4 games before Accy. Some work to do for Evans.

Good win and Evans being Evans, got to be happy with that.

Commentators said best performance so far under Bignot too so hopefully things moving in the right direction.

Said we'd lose at that bloody dump like we always do, and we did just that.

Dominated the opening 30 minutes, without offering anything of note on goal, Grimsby happy to attack on the break - looking good when they did so.

The Clements goal was very dodgy, but probably not totally a surprise, we panicked each time they ran at us, though kean should have done better. Clements put more effort into his goal celebration than he normally does in a months worth of games - despite the performance, he'd still not get a look in at Mansfield.

2nd half Grimsby pretty much dmimated. The sending off of evans seemed daft. Though it's not a defence, a distraction or taking anything from Grimsby but the ref was poor. Didn't handle the game at all well.

Both sets of fans were tits, Grimsby celebrated liked they'd won a cup, and I guess it must have been a big highlight for them. Our fans down to the corner at the end were a disgrace. We end up kicking off early often enough in games - scenes like that won't do us or the club any favours.

To be that bad and still somehow be in the playoffs is very lucky, but also a testament to how bad this league really is.

Not a good day.

We were only 3 points off at the end of Jan, all be it we had played a game more.

We have taken 5 points from 15 and still only 3 points off and no longer played a game more. Just shoes how shit the league is, team that finishes in the play offs will be the ones who are in form for the last 4 or 5 games and probably get promoted to league one amd won't deserve it!

Clements wouldn't get in the Mansfield side which is fine because Jamey Osborne is better than all of their midfielders combined. What a gem we've got our hands on.

Aye, you could have put a cone in the centre in the 2nd half and it would have bypassed our midfield, it was the worst showing under evans by some distance.

Footballs a strange one, we win at Cambridge and Barnet where wins aren't expected, then when you get Accrington and Grimsby which should have been 6 points on paper we get 1. Football has a funny but good way of reminding you not to take things for granted, which I think the team were starting to.

It's a shame as a performance of how we played at Barnet or Cambridge would have seen us get at least a point - but we didn't deserve the 0 in the end.

Impressed with Grimsby today, clearly a tad limited after Bogle went, but worked hard, passed it neatly and did the basic stuff well - broke well and didn't fanny around with the ball pointlessly for ages without any product - like us. Double over us!

Sad to hear that evans received physical and verbal abuse from Grimsby fans and one of the directors cars were graffitied - though I understand we're ready to report it to the FA Monday morning.

Hayden White could've been sent off earlier after a disgusting challenge on Sam Jones in the first half.

Somebody on Stagsnet said Steve Evans had to 'run for his life' in the stand from Grimsby fans, now that is something I wanna see

The idea did make me chuckle.

Where's that image of him at Wembley when you need it

Everybody associated with Mansfield Town ought to be embarrassed tonight. The team were dreadful - a shadow of the side that they have been and not nearly as good as 'jumping the gun' fans have suggested.
The manager has to have a long look at himself. Even the Grimsby press suggested to give him hell and he couldn't even deal with that, so what about organising his team?
The fans behaved like Mansfield fans do: classless, brainless and hankering for a scrap when things don't work out - it's what they do. The abuse that Clements received was disgraceful. The guy gave us five years service and although never the greatest, never warranted both barrels from odd-gobbed morons.
These fans allegedly follow the same club as me but there the similarities end.

The Grimsby fans with Evans? Well, they have an element born in the same test tube as our lot.

Thanks once again to posturing clowns (from both sides) who helped turn a 75 minute ride home nearer 3 hours, after disrupting traffic.

Especially as it was in the Main stand which is full of OAPs or families.

I don't understand it, you'd think people would know whether they can hold their alcohol or not.

I was there for 11, had some food in the wethers - standard "meh" fare and had 5 pints before the game. Did I act a tit? No. Did I get in any fights? No. Did I cause any trouble? No. Why fans feel they need to do that is beyond me.

The performance was poor but spitting your dummy out of the pram and making themselves and Mansfield look stupid wasn't clever.
