The atmosphere at Tuesday night games are always really dire and a lot of the time games take on a training ground feel usually not helped by the 12 away fans that turn up.
We’re definitely due dropping points at home and against someone we should be looking to beat (at least in terms of...
The owners backed Simpson for too long given he should’ve gone after last season then backed Williamson in January given how many ex-players he brought in (unless the DOF or whoever just happened to bring in ex Gateshead and MK players), only for them to get rid once the new players were through...
The fake rivalry aside, I genuinely hope for your sake that this doesn’t turn out the way it looks so blindingly obvious it will having had Hughes here. Horses for courses, get in a short term lower league manager with an experience of fighting to stay up, a L2 Allardyce, Hughes IMO is...
Another off putting thing with Hughes (if you needed another), is how not arsed it often felt -
Like you lose on a Saturday and it spoils your weekend a bit, I always had the feeling Hughes would be out on the golf course Sunday morning unable to remember (or just not care) the name of the team...
The scout report must have read “Has been appalling for 2.5 years, can’t get anywhere near starting for a L2 side and hasn’t scored in forever. Did alright for Gillingham years ago”.
I just can’t imagine how you’re facing relegation if this is the level of recruitment.
More money than sense from the owners yet from the outside they still seem to never get any criticism despite this absolute horror show on the pitch that they’ve over seen across the last two seasons.
What’s the size of the playing squad after so many incomings? Will there be an exodus between now and tomorrow to at least try and balance the numbers?
We had him on loan under Hughes, in fact he probably played in the game at Sixfield’s when you went up. Unless he’s had some miracle level of improvement there’s not a chance he’s L1 standard.
Would take a draw right now but can’t say there’s anyone we fear. I’d imagine Wimbledon will start as favourites but no doubt this will be a good challenge against one of the better sides away from home.
