Wrexham at home tonight. I’d be stunned if we don’t make wholesale changes to the lineup with Swindon away in mind. Sadly can’t play the likes of Umolu or the lad we signed last night from Wolvo as they’re both cup-tied in this.

Most importantly hopefully us and Wrexham can just agree whatever the result to shake hands on keeping things social so can both come out with no injuries.
Will be changes especially with playing with 10 on Saturday.

Would do along the lines of:

Broome

Sang
Debrah
Hennigan
Hart
Clark

Byers for an Hour then throw on Lowe
Walters

Curtis
Hackford
Chislett

Not sure what sort of team we will put out. Five of the players who started last time we played in November are either injured or have left the club.

Mullin is injured by all accounts which is a shame as I suspect he would have played.

We don't have the injury crisis we had then so should have a stronger XI than last time purely as we can make 11 changes and not be as far down the pecking order but it depends how Moore see's it, would be surprised if we don't make 9 changes minimum but that XI i put out is 11 changes.

We have two suspended as it stands from the league so Sang and Clark can play to keep ticking over for me who'd be probably first choice and obviously Byers could probably do with minutes... but then we might not risk it as we did that when he first came back in the last round and lost him for another 6 weeks!

Madness that Curtis and Chislett are not currently able to break into their first XI so should give us a competitive XI but think you'll probably go stronger than us with your free weekend to follow.

Rotherham United (a) -

With so many comings and goings, I’m not sure what team we’ll put out tonight. I’m not sure whose cup tied and who isn’t - and tbh, I can’t be bothered to check.

GK: Joe Hilton

CB: Callum Johnson
CB: Jack Shepherd
CB: Romoney Critchlow

RWB: Brad Halliday
LWB: Tyreik Wright

CM: Ritchie Smallwood ©️
CM: Brandon Khela

AM: Antoni Sarcevic
AM: Bobby Pointon

ST: Calum Kavanagh

Tough game against that fat sausage Glasgow.

I wouldn’t use Byers except for maybe 20 minutes at the end. He starts Saturday for me.

If it was my call I’d go

Broome
Sang Debrah Hart
Clark Chislett Walters Richards Shorrock
Hackford Curtis

*If the FA do the right thing and overturn the red for Sang before tonight’s game then Heneghan in for him.

Was he sent off in the league?

If so, don’t think the suspension counts in this cup? Suspensions picked up in these matches only apply to this cup I think

11 changes, no risking Byers and no Chislett strangely.

Walter’s makes his second debut and was outstanding last season against Wrexham so a chance for him to get minutes.

Fairly meh side that though and not left many options on the bench so shows the priority is Saturday.

Too close to Wembley to not take this at least a bit seriously, hoping we go reasonably strong.

Scrap that. Byrne, Wright, Odour…. Not much for Rotherham to fear, Crichlow starting which is a bonus.

1-0 Vale in 30 seconds through Curtis. Had worse starts.

should of been 2-3 up and they get a bit of luck with a deflection and 1-1. Injury curse again though in this with Clark

Think we’ve acquitted ourselves well there against a good Wrexham team. Curtis and Richards the standouts for us but Shorrock done a nice job too.

Big story is Mitch Clarks injury. I really hope it’s nothing bad but those non-contact type ones tend to indicate bad news.

Decent half with just the one blot, great to get an early goal thanks to some hilarious defending, then Shorrock had a great chance as did Richards after some good work.

Gutting for Mitch, back from a neck break, then the red at Chesterfield and now another nasty looking injury tonight. Big blow that.

Decent contest, their number 6 is having a bit of a mare, like he’s towing a tractor so need to target the pace against him more but otherwise bit frustrated to be level to be honest.

The first thirty seconds was like a comedy act. I don't know if our players all downed shots before coming out or what. We were then awful for the next fifteen minutes but after that we've been largely in control I felt- without really threatening your goal.

Bring on Palmer and Smith in the second half in place of the two kids and we should have enough to win this.

Fear it’s ACL looking at how it happened and his reaction. If so that’s dreadful luck after breaking your neck and coming back from that.

Looked a nasty one. A freak too- he just blocked the cross as far as I could see. Terrible luck.

He was out all of last season pretty much, then broke his neck in pre season and came back New Year and now this. Quality player but just seems to have rotten luck.

Really poor from Shorrock there, inexperience, identical to mess he made at Grimsby.

3-1 Wrexham. Over as a contest now so just get out of this with hopefully no more injuries.

Under no circumstances do I want to see Moore risking Tolaj to see if we can force our way back in.

Shows which side cares about it more.

A Wrexham v Birmingham final would be absolutely cringeworthy to watch. Think I've just been sick in my mouth at the thought of it.

Easy win for Wrexham in the end. We didn't exactly bust a gut after going 2-1 down to come back and in the end 4-1 is a pretty accurate summing of the game. Oh and Jesse Debrah is a fucking awful excuse for a footballer, would pack him off back to Halifax yesterday if we could.

Just got to hope we can get lucky with Mitch Clarks injury but I'm not confident.

Happy to go out, not happy with more pointless injuries and pretty peeved with that defensive display, pretty much the unit that had the stinker at Grimsby and got dropped and it’s shown again tonight why. Shorrock isn’t a defender he is a winger, two shockers for the second and third and Debrah is miles off the level of Smith, mad he couldn’t get in until after that Grimsby debacle.

Glad at least we’ve learnt that tonight rather than losing points.
